When does The Dark one actually appear?

Featured Replies

So The Dark one (Shai'than) appears on the prologue chapter in book 1 as it takes place in the age of legends after that through the first book and the next two it was Isamael that Rand and co thought the dark one was. So when does the dark one actually appear in the series? I don't want any spoilers. I know eventually Rand would fight the dark one in the end of the final book but I want to know about which book the dark one actually appears in (he breaks out of shayol Gul? or actually appears in dreams and stuff instead of Ishamael?).

Just to let you all know. I Just finished book four and I'm gonna start book five tomorrow maybe.

The being with Lews Therin in the Book one prologue is actually Ishamael, not the Dark One himself. I won't spoil for you whether you will see the DO directly in the series or not, but there will definitely be hints of his intent and nature.

@Manel Rochaid  So it was Ishamael? ok. But then why did Lewis Therin called him Shai'tan? I know he was mad and had no idea what the heck was happening around him. But Ishamael tells Lewis who he is and then he calls him Shai'tan. Does that mean that everyone had always thought that Ishamael was the dark one? But I just thought Lewis would know.

LTT never called him Shai'tan.  LTT even said you mustn't say that name.

@Sabio Oh okay. I probably didn't catch that right. Thank you.

I will just make sure to remember things well when I reread it.

It was a bit odd anyone was tossing the name Shai'tan about, even for the forsaken they usually don't say it since it's considered blasphemy.
