Hi, my name is Dan, and I just joined the forum.  I started reading The Wheel of Time earlier this month.  I'm 160 pages into The Great Hunt at the moment.  I did write a post on my author blog about how/why I started reading fantasy again with The Wheel of Time even though it has been decades since I've either read or written it.  It's at https://dhjonathan.com/2020/06/12/reading-fantasy/ if anyone is interested...

    And by the way, I remember reading a couple of Robert Jordan's Conan books in the early 80s, long before he ever started publishing The Wheel of Time.

    Gosh, I read those Conan books in the 80s when I was in my teens.  I did finish The Great Hunt over the weekend and started The Dragon Reborn.  At this point, The Great Hunt is my favorite book by RJ...

    There parts of dm that's not an issue like the clubs where there heaps of social treads on other topics and games...so no need to stay away
