New Spring

Featured Replies

OK since the book New Spring is a prequel is there any order in with to read it I mean will there be any point I should not read it? I am currently reading The Shadow Rising :?: :?: :?:

You can read it at any point, however, I personally am glad that I waited until the end to read it, as I liked not knowing the back story on Moiraine and Lan during my first time reading through the series.

yeah, i think it helped the story to not know the back story too soon. i would suggest waiting until you have read all the available books. some neat things were revealed in the new spring, but over all... it didn't have much of a plot of its own. errr, that is to say, i liked it, but it was more decoration than relavent.

i have New Spring but havnt read it, because i want to finish up the siries first, at least finish book 11, i dont think i could way to read aMoL to read NS!

At book 4 you're safe to read it at any point. Would be best to finish the series though, for chornology sake. NS would interrupt the flow. But, yeah, you'd be safe.

I would wait at least until after Fires of Heaven, because of something that happens there...I can't explain any better than that without giving something away. I waited until after Crown of Swords, because I had to order PoD from the publisher and the bookstore had NS right there on the shelf. I couldn't help myself :P

Personally, I suggest just reading it chronologically in the order it was released in relation to the other books, or in other words, after book 10 and before book 11. :)
