Reading Lord of Chaos. So what just happened in the first 100 pages anyway?

Featured Replies

Read the first 100 pages yesterday and the prologue was way too damn long lol.

So what exactly went on in the first 100 pages anyway?

We got introduced to some of the major characters' current status, saw what they were doing, and saw their arcs for the next few books get established. Then we visited one Rand al'Thor in the palace at Caemlyn, and met Mazrim Taim for the first time.

That's why the prologue is  as long as it is, though not as long as some others.

You read the first 100 pages - what exactly did you not understand?  More than happy to help, but your question is very broad...

yes I know about Rand forcing Taim to train men at farm training area for men who have the power.

then bunch of slow paragraphs off Nynaeve, Egweyne,  and Elaida doing this and that in some dream world

like I said the prologue was just way too damn long to get into

The Eliada stuff is very slow to be honest

It is - interesting storyline drawn out too long.  Or at least it could have been compacted - don't circle back so much until the tower plotline resolves.
