Given the WOT is our own world in the future has RJ ever discussed what happened to the known main religions? There is no real concept of Christianity, Islam, buddhism, Hinduism etc in the books. Were religions as we know them phased out in the age of legends as technology and the discovery of the source overtook civilisation? 

Presume after the collapse of society in one of the great cataclysmic events, where people can literally hear the Dark One talking, people will simplify their beliefs to Light vs Dark and the names of any prophet or book is erased by the passage of time. Few books made it from the prior age, let alone the one before. Myths exist still, recalling the time Elsbet ruled the world, Merk and Mosk, and when Lenn flew to the moon in the belly of an eagle… but not much remembered deep into the next age, let alone subsequent ages.
