Well, firstly, I have never bought a single. They just don't appeal to me for some reason. As for my first album, I believe it was By The Way by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Before then, I wasn't really into music (strange thing to say since I lead an ORG about music! lol!), but over the last 5 or so years, my interest has really kicked off, mainly thanks to my friends at school.

Well, my first albums were The Christians (by the band of the same name) and Born In The USA by Springsteen.

 

My first singles were Louise by Human League and Vienna by Ultravox.

I never got any singles, but my first album would have to be "Sunshine" by S Club 7-my fav band. :D

First album - I bought two at once.

 

Pearl Jam - "Ten"

Depeche Mode - "Violator"

 

Single - "Home" by Depeche Mode

I know I must have bought singles but for the life of me I can't remember what it was... The first LP I ever bought was Rubber Soul.. by The Beatles. But my parents had given me several by that time.. Why is there Air, by Bill Cosby was one I can remember.

Never bought a single, but I had a cassette tape of TLC's CrazySexyCool. I think that was the first album I owned.

The first album that I bought was on cassette and was The Greatest Hits: The Eagles.

That is also the first song that I could sing from start to finish. Can't any more but it's still one of my favs.... sorry got a wee off track there.

The first album I ever bought..just by the look on the cover, was Meatloafs Bat out of Hell! :D

First album was Thriller by Mikie Jackson!

I think the first album I ever bought myself was Metallica Ride the Lightening.

 

And something kinda interesting a few years ago my hubby won a Motor Head album that is green.

Only ever had one single which was bought for me and that was smooth criminal by alien ant farm.

I think the first album I bought was B*witched's first album. I fell like such a dork, but it's okay I was only 9ish (I think). :D

If you were older it would have been a diferent story it would be like a 40 year old man buying hillary duff.

For the life of me, I can't remember, but the first ones were Metallica's Black Album, Blind Melon's self named album and Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet.

 

I'm hoping it wasn't Bon Jovi! I was young and stupid then.

The very first album I ever bought was an LP of the story of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer..on the other side..the story of Rudolf's second Christmas..LOL

 

I had hundred's of 45's...One of the first I remember playing over and over..was Kiss you All Over by Exile.

 

The first music album...The Partridge Family.

I think my first album on CD was Combat Rock by The Clash. First single was Elephant Stone by The Stone Roses.

Wow there are still people who remember records! :D

to me there are some songs that don't sound right with out the crackle and pops you hear on records.

The jumping I could do without.
