For those of you who know me, you know we don't have cable or satellite and we had a crappy old 25 inch tv that was all fuzzy. Well, Marshall went insane on me and came home with a panasonic 32" flat panel high def something or other. I was floored. So, then we needed somewhere to put it, since it was too big for our old entertainment center... so we ordered this. In black-brown. And some matching side tables, and some little clear plastic baskets that fit in the shelving's cubbies and hold stuff like game controllers, etc.

 

So, over $1000 later, we have a tv. And I can watch Heroes in high def, because we actually get that station now! No more watching on NBC.com the next day.

Wait a minute, you had a TV when I was forced to watch digiman that one time....

 

But yay for high def.... I am a TV snob because of that.

Ya, so do I!! It would FINALLY give me enough space for all my shoes!! No really, I have a LOT of shoes...

 

I have a $125 "flat screen" (note, this means the screen is flat instead of curved, but not that the tv itself is flat. It's still a big heavy box), that I think is something like 21 inches?? I'd love a nice tv, but considering I don't even want to pay for cable, I'm pretty sure it's useless to have an expensive box for network tv!! :lol:

Neener, I have a 38?" RCA, granted its about 6 years old, but it works great. My high def Lost binges are done on my computer, so thats not nearly ass impressive.

 

I'm envious of the new high def tv sets, I should have waited until after HD came out to have kids. *pout*

I have a large flat screen HD TV... which I had to buy when I got my 360.... Pictures coming soon...

Cads I'm with you on the shoe storage. Emp's going to freak out when he realizes how many I'm bringing with me. Worse, I have a running list of the types of shoes I need to have but don't yet own. (a nice pair of brown heels for example, I have some good black ones, but am lacking in brown).

Our IKEA order arrived today! remember, we ordered this thingie?

 

If you click the enlarge image you can see it with the tv inside it. So, now, anyone want to take bets on how long it all takes to assemble? Considering the website says it requires two people?!

Five bucks says it sits in the garage until summer vacation.

I say it takes atleast 2 day of summer vactation becuase the first night it'll piss you both off so bad you'll leave it laying unassembled in the middle of a rom and forget about it till the next day. then one of you will stub your toe on it in the morning and decide to finish it. <.< >.> 8)

*looks at Kathana* Hmm... that would almost be a safe bet, except for my OCD. I can't stand all the boxes in my living room. The order came in like, 17 boxes. And that's only slight hyperbole.

 

Our plan, since D&D got cancelled tonight, is to have it completed this evening! But, since my dad is coming over to help me rip my stove out of the built in cabinetry, I don't know how up to it I'll be.

 

That sewage explosion has been the impetus for a LOT of home renovation.
