After seeing comments from others, I'm glad I reached the conclusion after S1 not to continue.

During my S1 viewing, I tried a variety of techniques from lowering my expectations, "another turning of the wheel," et al. in an attempt to jive with the show's vibe. 

Simply too painful. 
 

I don’t know how you made it through to the finale of Season 2. I managed to struggle through Season 1 and saw the problems everyone else did. When the reviews said Season 2 was better, I thought I would give it another shot- and I can’t make it through the second episode. The problem isn’t the actors, the sets, the costumes, the world. The problem is the writing- it’s awful, awful awful. The plot of the script is pathetic and the dialogue is ridiculous. You cant spend $$$$ and expect to overcome a bad script.

And yet Judkins biggest accomplishment will be destroying the first screen adaptation of a beloved IP. 
 

I’ll take dead RJ or alive Judson’s any day, skeleton and all. At least the skeleton once created something great!
