See, now it's reasons as small as that that threw me off Iron Man.  Then I saw it, and I gotta say, one of the best, after Dark Knight.  Comic Book Movie-wise.

Yeah, but it makes more sense to have them turn up in a movie set in contemporary times. Knights in armor duking it out to Queen (and having the peasants in the stands doing the wave) smacks of Disney-level cheese.

They never do the wave.  Period.

 

The only real time the crowd interact with the music, is at the beginning to "We Will Rock You"
