          Using an interactive windows shell. Took me ages to set all the pathways up right. So that everything appears where it should when I hover my pointer over a certain part of the screen. Setting up all the plugins so I have winamp lodged interactively onto the background, or when I put my mouse to the way left/right a tab pops out showing me info or shortlinking me to programmes/folders was hell and exhausting but worth it in the end.

I usually have something abstract and darker so it doesn't blind me.  And usually something not too busy to the eyes.

Nice! and don't worry about your icons toooooo much. my mother in law's comp usually has 3/4 of a screen full. ;) so long as you use them.

awww, if you were out her in CA you should have gotten a pic of the Giant Sequoias.  They own Redwoods

At the time I was 6 months pregnant. Redwoods were the closest. I'm afraid that the hilly landscape had me sitting on the side of the road emptying my stomach every 30 minutes or so. I'm happy with my Redwoods.  ;)
