Well one thing for sure is that mafia can be confusing because you don’t know who is who. Turin does seem suspicious since he’s being the first one to say who he think is mafia. Mafia are people who will try to lie and confuse others and act all innocent.

It’s not uncommon for folks to toss out predictions or the like at the beginning of a game. You can use whatever deducing tools you want. Like, I could say since Ithi is runnin a game her husband is in and that she mentioned before how much he loves the mafia game and being mafia that she would indulge her husband’s whim and make him mafia. Or, the other way around. Would she instead tease Turin but makin him vanilla? 

And so you in turn through suspicion on Turin. How interesting.

Yeah, usually at the beginning of games there is some silly spamming chit chat type stuff while we wait for everyone to arrive.  Memes and gifs and bragging and whatnot.

Townies are always making an effort to solve for who the mafia are but only the mafia ACTUALLY KNOWS WHO THE MAFIA ARE. I find townies generally are more willing to make their suspicion known and push at people. Mafia are frequently willing to kinda just go along as long as one of their team isn't the target.

And everyone says "that's what a Mafia would say!" all the time, I would venture?

This is a nudge. Or throwing shade if you will. It is combined with defending me, which I kinda don't like. I took Mills posts as light hearted poking, if it is more then we'll played.

 

I don't really like being defended early as no townies but me know I'm town.

But it would also create even more confusion. Though to be fair I cannot imagine being much more confused than now. Baselessly accusing is not really any different from baselessly defending... no, wait. er, well.

Hey retirement friends. I've been trying to read for a while. It's fairly common to throw shade and poke at people in the beginning. 90% jokes, 10% to see who's extra friendly at the start. 

Oh my... here's what I've got so far... 

 

Being young in a nursing home = suspicious. That makes me and @HeavyHalfMoonBlade and @Donchadh suspicious - which seems like what long-time Aes Sedai and Warder in league for centuries would do, to steer suspicion away from all their years of plotting...

Easy? No. Basic? Yes. The rules are set to make the game balanced so either side has a reasonable chance to win.

Town has a 7-3 advantage to start but that means we have to find mafia in the first two days or we lose. Town has no way to defend against townies dying at night so we have 

Day 1 if Town gets lynched then it will be 6-3.

Night 1: a townie will die. Town 5-3

Day 2: if Town gets lynched, Town 4-3.

Night 2: townie dies. Even 3-3. Mafia wins.

 

Side note: because of the setup, whoever is the cop, please Do Not Reveal yourself if you can avoid it because we can't protect you at night.
