I would seriously consider the context of this game. You are playing with a bunch of oldies who have a lot less time and energy to devote to this and who are rusty. And for whom meta is non existent or means very little to them. The legiblity and volume of your posts makes it so that I struggle in knowing which are joking or which are serious and often the tone shifts within a single post. I think your mafia play style is quite jarring. I didn't care before but I guess now that time is more precious and I'm committing it to the game, you just make playing so much harder. 

 

Gun to my head at this point I'd be voting you on Day 1 because Day 1 reads are a crapshoot anyways and I may as well get rid of someone I consider to be distracting and playing in such a way that I don't think will help us get any closer to solving anything.

Brass tax of if is no Towny is truly trustworthy even if mechanically proven to be Town unless they have an uncounterable PR because they could be Town and wrong.  All us Villagers have is to try their best within their own skillset to figure out who are the Villagers and Wolves to the best of their abilities.  Everyone plays and approaches the game in their own unique individual ways.

 

I'm gonna play and approach things as I' always do as I expect everyone else to do as well.  When people are pushing me my job as a Villager is to determine if it feels like a wrong Towny or A Wolf pushing me.    To varying degrees many on this roster have played with many before.  Im a Meta/Guy read player I'm not analytical or even logical lol some are.  All I can do is call out what I see, try and figure out where it's coming from Make a decision on alignment and reevaluate if necessary.

But Z, none of that would entail that you need to have a 6 page rant about the post. By all means be suspicious of Lenlo, vote for him, remind people of his behaviour. But you don't need to keep going on about it. But anyway, I think I've said that enough as well. 

 

I get the feeling the wolves are being quiet. Odds are heavily in their favour D1 it seems to me as long as they do nothing ridiculously suspicious. But stuff will start to polarize at EoD, which is quite some time away.

I should add/correct a cleared Towny is trustworthy in the fact that they believe their reads and reasons but without being like a cop or seer it's just a quess.  Hopefully that'll make what I'm trying to say a bit more clear.

I respond to people who respond to me Lenlo had maybe not as many but we were responding to eachother.  I get what you're getting at but if I didn't respond people who think that was Wolfy, which it would be and I'd think the same.  

 

Quiet possible as to your 2nd paragraph.  Tho with this field most of the players have Wolfed enough to feel comfortable enough posting especially day 1 in my experience.

Z, from what I'm reading here on last page or two, what people are saying is the mania (might not be the right word) of your posts are coming off as reactionary, and they are reading that as suspicious.

Those that played or read that game are noting the difference in your posts here v. There. I think some of it may be that you were only pushed at all on D2. It may be your fight or flight drive has kicked in, which means your gonna fight because that is your personality.

This bit of posting by you is coming across as frantic. I know it is hard for.you but if you are town, just slow down a little bit, compose your thoughts a little and type slower. If you can.

Good morning everyone! 😊

First let me say that it's an honor to get to play this game with some of the greatest players to ever play the game. This is only my 2nd game so bear with me. When I first started playing I didn't know any of the FTFM )fixed that for me?)or WIFOM (wine in front of me) or iirc, which I still don't know that one lol. I also didn't even know how the game was supposed to be played. As in when people started professing being villagers or claiming others were scum or wolves. I was like "you can just come out and say you are village?" But I just kept on trucking because I wanted to be a part of something great and fun. When I first joined DM back in 2012 I was mostly in the WT and even there I had no skills at RP even if it is Lite. 

I'm gonna be honest for a few minutes and this has nothing to do with the game or my alignment so please just listen. I am turning 53 this year and I have 6 kids, 3 birds, 3 cats and a dog. I just started back to work 2 days ago after being a stay at home mom for 22 years. We are all at least in the 30s here if not 40s and 50s I guess and we all have homes, jobs and people/things to care for. RL is important but so is friendship. None of us are too busy to post here and there or be wouldn't have signed up for the game. 

 

1. If someone says something you don't like or are offended by why not use the PM system to bring it to their attention in private.

 

2. We are all adults so I'm guessing we can stick up for ourselves, ie: no one needs another player to fight their battles. For me specifically I do not want another player to fight my battles for me. If I didn't like Zander saying he was in my pocket, which I find endearing, I would say so. In Gud's pocket = he trusts me.

 

3. I think we all know that Zander wasn't actually going to lynch Dice in his sleep. I'm new and I knew it was a joke. I believe the confusion comes from it having been a joke in the last game that Dice didn't react negatively to. Now that may be because he was not offended by it or he didn't feel strongly enough about it to point out that he was offended by it. Either way, it should have been addressed in a PM. 

 

So let's try to forget the past day of nonsense and get back to the actual game. I was looking forward to getting to know some of the great people who joined this, my 2nd game ever, since I never had the chance to know them well in the past. 

 

Also as a note on Zander. When I first played with him I will admit his sheer amount of posts and all over the placeness was annoying to me. But if IBH(I'm being honest) it grew on me and I came to not only like it but to look forward to it. I just wanted to point out that he is sometimes the biggest reason the story keeps going. You gotta have someone move things along and since most of us are rusty it would seem to me like he is an important part of keeping things active. 

 

On another point Zander dear, please be kind to the other players and keep the posts to game details only and not personal points. Use PMs if you need to point out something not relative to the game.

 

Also it would do you all good to apologize, move on from the past day and maybe even have a group hug.

 

Just my take on it. You can take it or leave and I will still love you all the same.

I've not really seen anything, in this game, that doesn't fit the 'vibe' of playing Mafia. 

 

But you all know I will twap anyone of you, with Modly Modiness if i thought something crossed the line.

 

If anyone is really upset about things said in the game, just let me know in your game PM. That's part of my job as Mod. And @Verbal32 is also keeping an eye on the Games board too as Staff Mod.

 

You can't have conversations about the game outside the game - such as private PMs as that could be classed as cheating. So many things I forgot to put in the rules lol.

 

And just continue to play nice and have fun!
