I am new to the game of Mafia but so far I'm loving it. I've learned so much from the people I have played with. I'm looking forward to playing with some of the greats from past mafia games.

You're just a sucker for punishment, huh? 

 

It is kind of fun. Though I'm yet to make it through a game without some kind of hard spiralling/mental breakdown, so we'll see if I can manage it next game. 

 

Otherwise I'll just have to watch and shake pompoms, lol. 

I think you've done a great job! I've enjoyed playing with you as well, both times.

It has definitely been fun playing with you, as a fellow newbie. 

 

Though must say I'm keen and a little apprehensive to see Ithi in full swing. I mean, she seems so nice but... Well, we'll see soon hopefully, lol. 

If you do play in the next game @Ithillian Turambar has said DPR might play and if he does we get a cool siggy for playing with a master like him. 😉 Plus you'll get to enjoy the spamming awesomeness of @Zander? and @Darthe.

I think being wholesome makes me crave the challenges it brings. I like using my brain in such complex ways. I am super looking forward to seeing Ithi play. I think she will still be modding the Hamilton game but might get to play once she has someone else to mod.

A wheel of Time game with factions and the wolves being dark friends sprinkled into the factions and each faction having its own QT. And every character having a power role ..and recruiting and and and...... lololololol

That was pretty much the GoT game.

I guess it's been so long, since Mafia was played, that all Themes can be used again.

 

Also QTs no longer exist. They are not a thing anymore

what is or was a QT?

QT is short for Quick Topic. You could make a private chat room and only people with the link could access it. It was good for Mafia Team's cos it was easy and fast. You could also share the Mafia Chat more easily afterwards, if the Mafia team were happy to do that.

This is something a lot of folks face at some point or another.  We’re human, and naturally emotional, so it’s tough sometimes.  To engage and care about what you’re doing but still hold a sense of emotional distance from it… that’s the trick.  That and respecting people’s boundaries when they communicate them.

Excellent advice, thank you. 

Almost everyone has had a melt down in this game, especially when they are new or it's been a while.

 

The best advice is to just walk away for a bit and have a break.

 

One of the benefits of playing on a forum is that it's all still going to be there, when you come back, and then you can have fresh eyes and a reset before you respond to anything.

 

Or don't respond at all

 

Or post a gif and move on
