Let's go Loot Goblins!

*****

You walk along the riverbank, carefully examining the ground for anything out of the ordinary. The shimmering water reflects hints of light onto the rocky shore, guiding your eyes toward a cluster of stones. As you sift through them, you uncover a small, intricately carved charm—an artifact left behind by a long-forgotten water adept. Holding it up to the light, you feel its gentle, restorative energy seep into your fingertips.

There will be battles, but I think they are random. You are still quite close to the Sacred Grove atm.

I know there were some battles in the additional Trials.

Ok... let's try and find more loot

You decide to head upstream, following the shimmering water’s gentle flow. As you navigate the winding riverbank, you notice subtle shifts in the environment—trees grow thicker, vines hang lower, and the air feels charged. Suddenly, from the shadows of the forest, a pair of hostile river creatures emerge. They slither toward you, their translucent scales glinting in the dappled sunlight. You grip your Adept’s Charm tightly, prepared to defend yourself against their encroaching threat.

Mini Battle:

  • HP: 20 / 20
  • EP: 10 / 10
  • Opponent: Two river creatures, each with 15 HP.
  • What would you like to do?
  1. Use Aqua Surge to heal and push them back.
  2. Rely on your Adept’s Charm to enhance your defensive stance.
  3. Attempt to flee upstream.
  4. Engage them in close combat with your knife.

What’s your next move?

We're going to try the Adept’s Charm

*****

You hold the Adept’s Charm tightly, channeling its energy into a defensive barrier. The charm’s glow intensifies as it fortifies you against the incoming attacks. The river creatures lunge forward, but their strikes glance harmlessly off the shimmering shield. You feel the charm’s energy resonating with the water around you, making each block more efficient and draining less of your strength.
