Does it have to be 3 though? It could be 2 and a symp. It could just be 2 really strong roles. No one knows. If you don't wanna be involved in it maybe go back and read your role PM. Bask in the glory of your role. Then think about who the good guys in this story are. Reading is fundamental.

I will be spoilering guds first reads lists from last game next to this games reads. People give random reads all the time, but the post explaining it rubs me the wrong way.

The town reads were dice, Cass and someone else???

 

Shortly after this we get this

Pressure from darthe before we get a forced reads list imo

 

I disliked this so much at the time, it looked like someone trying to appease the masses without having any sort of reasons for this. My tinfoil of the team came later but Cass and dpr have no posts regarding the game. Verb either but I don't have much to post about him.

 

Every other read leaves room to switch and I didnt catch that earlier. When asked for reads in her other game they read so much better even if she was unsure. (Spoilered below)

Depending on Dice reads is not a bad way to go, from what I've seen but still gotta read Dice himself to decide if he's town or not. Then we're safe to follow his reads.

so you admit that I was pressured to give a read, and I did! it wasn't great because guess what, it's my third game and everyone should know that by now. I said this in my last game and I'll say it again. your damned if you do and damned if you don't in this game. If I try to be fun, that's bad, if I try to give reads and suck, thats bad, if I don't talk at all, yup, bad so.... I do my best even tho I don't really know what I'm doing. 

 

serious question: how many of you knew what you were doing, really by game 3?

Difference is you know im a Villager and I'm not even pushing to be Town leader but if anyone were to say maybe don't do that or instead of arguing try to work with solving the problem is something a Villager would do...you do nothing Towny here lol

I don't really wanna answer but I am lol.  Being pressured tends to be something Mafia does as opposed to Town.  Not always but moreso.  Mafia have to try and keep themselves from Sus as best as possible unless going for TWTBAW basically.  Some will play into but not the norm. If you're a Villager in any game and don't feel you have a good enough handle just say null or say you don't have a good enough guess atp.

well as you've seen with my recaps, everyone feels town to me. I don't know what it is you guys use to determine if someone is town/mafia. It's not an easy game to learn and the logics used don't actually make sense to me. I thought we weren't supposed to talk about "personal" stuff because it would muddy the reads yet I see people doing it. I also thought activity level was an indicator yet I don't know how to balance real life stuffs with a person just being quiet on purpose. I also read that defensive behavior is a sign of wolf but if you don't defend yourself that is too? I dunno I just assume the best in everyone until I have a good reason to not.

yeah I've done that and was called weak! by a wolf!  in last game. Have you seen the posts, people push for answers and I don't have any. So I do what I can do to give them what I got.

It is true that some people will poke at anything and say that's  wolfy. My interactions Z are evidence of that. I am really trying to get how you approach the game. It seems to me that you start off seeing people as town and then move them down when something pings. Would you say that's  accurate?

I approach the game the way I approach life. Everyone is good until they're not. I can only take people for what I can actually prove. I'm trying to balance liking people, the real people and sussing a character.

Closed setup, 11p, an IC… iirc ithi has said everyone has powers and didn’t want to change the counts for balance reasons. tough to balance for.  you don’t want too many killing threats cause of the low body count but you do want to keep the game moving.  Probably a lot of roles that have some sorta limitation to them or are targeted so they have a good chance to fizzle.  Beyond that it’s tough to say until we get some more info.
