Deathgates don't destroy anything. They just transmit shadowspawn to random places on the map, and the shock of traveling kills them. Wouldn't they just send the cuendillar object somewhere random? If the object was to large to fit through, I don't think it would have any effect at all. Since Balefire doesn't, I don't see why this would.
