Rewatched season 2 of BBC's Robin Hood. I absolutely love this show...I definitely suggest Netflixing it. Season 3 is supposed to air on BBC this Spring, so if I can't find it somewhere online I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD :(

Saw Insomnia last night

Woo, Chris Nolan is awesome! Great character driven film, with slight hint of murder. Lovely. 8/10.

Rachel Getting Married

Basically you are watching an entire rehearsal, ceremony and reception with Anne Hathaway freaking out about being a drug addict.  I mean.. some of the scenes were a little too long for my taste.  I did get the feeling I was peeping into someone's real life.  The acting was top notch and what eventually won me over.  I am giving this one 3.5 out of 5.

Role Models

The first time I started watching this I fell asleep.  On my next attempt I made it through.  I really enjoyed them making fun of LARP *eyes a few people* because I can imagine some of my friends doing that.  But otherwise this movie was not a winner with me.  I just don't think Stifler is funny... except maybe as Stifler... the first Stifler... not that 14 other Stiflers in the sequels.  The kids were funny the first time I saw them but after that first laugh I got tired of them.  I am giving this one a 2.5 out of 5.

Saw Valkyrie the other day

Was anjoyable, if historically incorrect, but did a good job of building tension although everyone knows how it ends (Hitler gets killed in that blimp accident <.<)

Tom Cruise wasn't too bad neither, I'd like to see him start doing stuff again and not just jumping around on Oprah

I say 7,5/10

I am not a fan of Bush.  You would think a movie that made him out to be an idiot and tried to blame all of America's problems on him would be right up my alley.  It isn't.  I just don't think Oliver Stone's made up conversations happened that way.  The cheesy music in the background was awful.  The acting, with the exception of Josh Brolin, was lousy.  The dialogue was bad. If Uwe Boll made movies that weren't based on video games, I would have sworn this was by him.

I stopped the movie midway through.  That earns this movie a 1 out of 5.

Saw  Sukiyaki Western Django  yesterday, which was... a very weird experience, to be sure. A somewhat failed homage to the epic western films, with all the japanese actors reciting veeery western-y lines with far too heavy japanese accents, making it all feel quite absurd. After watching the trailer I was looking forward to some heavily awesome, slo-mo choreographed action, in the least, but even there the film let me down, with only one, very brief, scene to fulfill that one basic need. Quentin Tarantino makes a decidedly odd cameo as a gunslinger, and then an old guns salesman in a makeshift wheelchair. Weird, weird film that I didn't find myself enjoying all that much. 5/10

I saw Sunset Boulevard and Funny Girl at a film festival in Athens this weekend.  Both were phenomenal.  Funny Girl had the edge though; Barbra Streisand was great, as was Omar Shariff.  I give Funny Girl a 5/5 and Sunset Boulevard a 4.5/5

Saw Madagascar 2 and Zak and Miri.

Mad 2:  Funny, cute, touching, sad, and funny again.  Not the make all, end all that I had heard it was, but it will wind up in my library.  3/5

Z&M:  Nasty, raunchy, sappy, and HOLY CRAP I'll stick to exlax.  o_O

Overall I laughed my ass off at some of the quick puns that are so easy to miss.  4/5 Must see-The extended version of the cold read screening, lots of innapropriate lines spoken by your grandma.  :D

Made of Honor - Sucked, but not as bad as other movies I saw this weekend.  This is like every other romance out there.  2/5

What Happesn in Vegas - Camerian Diaz' joker smile got to me about 30 minutes in and I gave up on the  movie.  1/5

Transporter 3 - I don't even know what to say about this movie.  Statham beats up alot of guys with his shirt off in crazy ways.  It is basically the other movies with little to no plot... or even less plot than the first two movies.  I mean... he signs up to wear an explosive device that keeps him near his car at all times.  HOW DUMB IS THAT?!  1/5

Happy Go Lucky - This movie's rating may be tainted in a good way after watching other crap this weekend but I found this movie quite pleasant.  Sally Hawkins, the main character, was excellent.  The movie offers a great character study but not much more.  Still after a crappy movie weekend I am giving this one a 3.5 out of 5.

Saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas again this friday, and I love it like I always have

It just gets better with each new see-through, I find. 9/10!

Then, saturday, The Insider, a film I found quite enjoyable. Michael Mann is awesome directing, as I thought he'd be, Crowe and Pacino act wonderfully. 8,5/10 says I.

I've been watching The Tudors, and I like it fine. I'm not in love with it, I find I enjoy it more for the pretty people, pretty costumes, and more than occasional sex than for the plot (I think I'm tired of his repetitive "I love you! But we can't make a son, so you must not be my real wife, you whore. Oh, now I like YOU, so how do I get rid of my previous wife?"). Then again, it's following a bout of 30 Rock, so I may just need a better transition from sitcom to complex drama.

Transporter 3 was actually not horrible, if you can enjoy it for what it is (a movie with stuff blowing up and people getting beaten up).  Stop taking movies so seriously Empy. *g*
