Wife is about to Netflix the first season of true Blood which i am sure she will have me watch with her.

Most of them are done for the season though

The final episode of the second series of Ashes to Ashes. What an awesome twist at the end to an excellent series! Roll on the third and final series!

Watched Casablanca.  Stunning film with a stunning Ingrid Bergman.  They don't make them like they used to.  A timeless epic of greatness. I give it the Krak stamp of approval and a 5/5

Started watching the first season of Dead Like Me.  I like it so far, it's entertaining, and I find George oddly attractive.

We watched Blindness last night.  This is a sobering movie to watch but I hesitate to call it powerful.  Basically it is a movie about human nature and it isn't very pretty.

I am going to give it a 3.5 out of 5 and not suggest it for people that do not have a strong stomach (there are some intense scenes) or want to avoid movies that will make you a little sad afterwards.

Pursuit of Happiness pissed me off.  While you are watching it forget the great story of him rising up... why is his son made to suffer while he went after his dream?  I mean.. a job at McD's is not stockbroker, but at least it is real money and your kid isn't living in a closet....

Because he knew that if he got that job, he'd be able to provide 10x more for his child then if he were to work at a job like that? He'd actually be able to give him quality health care, education, ect. Didn't he do jobs besides just at that place for 6 months with out pay? I know for a fact there are people (even children in families) living in worse conditions then they were until he actually got that job. <_<

Just watched Seven Years in Tibet.  It was a great movie filled with moving images and a peaceful restlessness that stirred the heart and provided a historical story about a oppressed people.  The cinematography was great as well as Brad Pitt's acting.  The best part was that the boy playing the Dalai Lama spoke better english than the real Dalai Lama.  Well worth the watch and a great score to back up a great movie.  4/5

Just finished watching Season 1 of Dead Like Me.  I absolutely love it.  Funny show about a girl who dies and becomes a Grim Reaper.  The supporting cast is awesome, especially Rube who's played by Mandy Patinkin who is more famous for his role as "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!"  I'm very sad that there were only 2 seasons though.  Puts a damper on finishing this last season.  I give it a 4.8/5

I just watched this incredible movie called Lars and the Real Girl.  Gah, I can't even name all the ways it was awesome.  I can say that Ryan Gosling was utterly amazing in his role as the socially challenged Lars.  This movie proves again how good Gosling is, I would say that I think it's his best role yet artistically, emotionally, and skillfully.  He is perfect and does a job I don't know that any other actor could do with the same effect.  This movie was a great movie of hope and salvation.  I loved watching it.  It was funny in it's awkwardness and beautiful in it's heart.  I recommend this movie to anyone and everyone.  5/5

Office Space, 8/10, pretty fun movie with decent to good acting and lots of funny moments. Go for it!

Also, Brick, excellent film noir set in a high school. Lovely, lovely film. 8,5/10

I have to agree with you. Didn't like the movie. A job at McD's or even a janitor job pays more than an unpaid internship and while it isn't the greatest job in the world, it puts food on the table and puts a roof over your head. This comes from a mom who lived with her mother for 4.5 years after her divorce because she was paying off divorce bills. I took the first job I could get after I moved home because I needed to pay my bills.

Anyway - off my soapbox.  Moving my way through the Tudors Season 1.
