CALLING ALL EUROPEAN DMERS!!!!

 

After the success and fun of the first ever DM EuroMeet, held in London over a long weekend in July 2007, planning for the next EuroMeet is well underway. And what makes DM EuroMeet 2008 even more exciting is the fact that 2008 is the year that DM celebrates its 10th Birthday! So why not join in the celebrations with your fellow DMers from Europe?

 

After the London meet and discussion on the DM boards, two cities have been chosen as possible locations for DM EuroMeet 2008. Voting is currently going on to determine where the event will be held, and the voting ends on 31st October 2007 to allow the next stage of the planning to start. The two cities that were nominated are:

 

Ghent, nominated by Mystica

--> the whole meet will be held around the Festival of Ghent, a 10 day event of non-stop partying, cultural exposure, concerts, fun and internation gathering.

 

Amsterdam, nominated by several DMers

--> the meet would include the Anne Frank Museum, the Heineken Experience and much much more that the Dutch Capital can offer.

I didn't even drive a measly 5 hours to Hot 'Lanta for this years 'Murican one.... Afraid my attendance would significantly increase my Geek Quotient, so I'm not a likely attendee.  ;D

I voted for Ghent and I'm gonna try really hard to be there *noddity nod* If only to brain rummage Mysty in person  ;D

lol well if it's in Ghent I won't have much choice as I promised to organise the thing ;)

Unfortunately for me... But luckily for the rest of you... It is looking increasingly likely that I will not be able to attend.

 

I will be trying as hard as possible though.

Yup, I'll definitely be coming...well...that is if I can afford the cost of flying there and back...and if feel inclined to do it, just to meet some random ppl that I already know better than I want to...lol.

I've got a mate with a Gulfstream, so barring craziness, I could probably make it anywhere in Europe. Course, I'm partial to Ibiza myself.

I will be trying to get there but, at the moment I don't think I'll make it! :'(

honestly no idea atm...as i have a field trip to spain for 2 weeks around then i think. also money might not allow for it...we shall see :D
