So... When Shoar was first getting trained, he learned the Void. Never worked for him, he lost it constantly and Radzy eventually taught him the Spring which he took to like a duck to water. He still remembers the Void training though.

 

So my question is!

 

Can I teach BOTH of them? Or just the Spring? Just want to clarify afore I rewrite my bio. *G*

Cairma also learned both. Void as Trainee & Spring as TG and now she uses neather, but technically teaches both based on experience.

No. Once you have chosen your side you can't teach the other reguardless of how you got there.  The only way you can teach the other is to have an NPC do it.  Your character cannot teach the opposite, but you as a writer can use an NPC to teach it, provided you actually have had someone teach you or you understand fully waht it means to be use the other.

 

The reasoning is because the philosophies are not like riding a bike.  You can't relearn the other easily and to teach something you don't activitely use is not possible.  You can't offer the trainee the proper support for it.
