NaNoWriMo

Featured Replies

I am sure you will find several people doing it down in the Scribes Chapter House. I am going to try to do something special for NaNoWriMo as soon as I can.

I will be trying, tried for the last three years and haven't accomplished it.

the scribes will help you out as well as the community at nano's website.

I'm trying it for the first time this year. I'm actually feeling pretty inspired, just need a "reason" to write something, lol. This gives me one, I guess! :D

I have done it 3 times, and I won twice. My advice to you is to not care what you write, just keep writing!! ;)

Write utter nonsense if you like...just have fun!

That's what I did for my first shot, and I finished this ridiculous novel that I thought was pretty cool actually - if rather silly.

The other time that I won, I wrote something that I still haven't finished, but it was over 50,000 so it still counted.

So yeah, reiterating - have fun! :)

Oh, and the time I failed, I was writing about myself (namely my travels), so that didn't work too well *g*

Hi I'm new here and am a aspiring writer, how would I go about joining the scribes?

Thanks!

Head down to the Illuminator's forum, and post in the join this org or whatever its called thread. They'll let you in, and after that you should see a subforum called the scribes chapter house.

I'm in, and a few others. Keep your ears open as i'm hoping something more can be announced. *grins*

Last year I didn't officially participate in NaNo, 'cause I knew I'd fail. *G* But I did make more of an effort than usual to do a bit of writing that month, so that worked quite nicely. I didn't get much done but at least I was inspired to do something ;p
