Can anyone tell me what this quote is from...

Featured Replies

... its been killing me! I'm nearly certain its from a film, but its possibly from TV...

And I can only paraphrase it...

"Yet again you have derailed this conversation with another absurd comment."

It may also be something Ricky Gervais said to Karl Pilkington.

The problem with google is that I'm paraphrasing. I can't find the exact quote...

Its such a priceless line.

Yeah I tried my googlefu but came up with nothing.  Can you be sure of any part of the quote?

I've tried variations on Google and even WikiQuote, too, and I haven't had any luck. If it was from a TV show or too obscure a movie, it might fly too far under the radar for teh internets.

This is literally driving me insane. I thought it may be from Wedding Crashers, but its definately not. I'm now nearly certain it was something someone said to Karl Pilkington (Ricky Gervais' producer) in a podcast.

If it is a podcast, then I doubt either google or our other quote sites can find it.

For anyone who cares (I'm sure few enough do) I have finally worked out what it was.

Flight of the Conchords episode two:

"You're the Egg. A Bad Egg. And you've derailed this band meeting with another obscure comment"

That is a load off.

Its great. Full of gems like that one, though maybe you have to have been there...

I think the box set is out now...
