This has been bugging me for a long time and I figured I'd take a poll here to see if you all could help me out some!  The trilogy is about a princess, Rose (short for Rosalyn Paige LeNoir), who ends up having to go about challenging for the throne of her own country after her father's untimely death.

So, just tell me which one you like best, and if you have any ideas! Thanks!

*sets out a plate of brownies too, just because they're good to have*

I voted for Legacy, though that is because this option wasn't available:

Legacy of a Rose

It would be even more fun if you then casually mention a rose in the intro and/or ending... (like for example if one of her friends dies, she could lay a rose on their body in the end or something). Anyways, it would make the title way deep. :)

I'm still deciding between the last two. The Trilogy of Rose seems quite weak to me, but if it had been The Rose Trilogy, I think I would have picked that one.

Of course, there may be an object in the trilogy that may give a more fitting title rather than the main character.

I have my parents working on some of the editing as well as some friends, but the more the better I'd say! ;)

I hadn't thought of Legacy of a Rose, but that is definitely a good thought.  I like the way it sounds! :) And, speaking of using a rose in that way...it gives me an idea to further expand on Rose's father's funeral at the beginning :)

I just want some brownies...  ;D ;D

*Takes a handful greedily and stuffs it into his mouth*

Now, I'm not the best voter, but Trilogy sounds good. But reading the other people's posts, I realized that I'm wrong...  :'(

Don't worry, The Trilogy of Rose was the very first title I could even think of.  Raijin and my boyfriend helped me get the other two :)

Btw, take as many brownies as you like!  I've always got some in some place or another...speaking of which, where did I put that last pan of those things....

Oh, and Horn, rewrote the funeral scene just a little bit and...wow....my mom loved it! :)

I still haven't decided between "Legend" and "Legacy" as a lot depends on the manuscript. As commented elsewhere, "Legend" refers to something in the past, while "Legacy" is something more recent. Depending on how the end of the book is written, then that could also influence the naming of the trilogy.

Hmm...the ending....I do have the ending in mind, even wrote it out.  I will say this, one of the main characters dies so....maybe that'll help with your indecisiveness.  Of course, after that death the ending is left open to the future for a continuation of the same storyline with most of the same characters.

I have to go with Legacy, simply because "The Adventures, Decisions, and Blood-Thirsty Vengeance of Rose" was not there.

My vote went to Legacy! unless you plan on following this up with another trilogy... If so the first could be called the legend trilogy, then the second the legacy trilogy, as part of The Rose series...

Just a thought ???

While that title would work DSage, I don't think it'd fit well with how the book is written.

And, that is a good idea Demonspawn, but I highly doubt I'll be continuing this trilogy beyond what I already have in mind...but I'll be sure to keep that thought just in mind, because I have had a small inclination of how I could continue with another book, but not necessarily another trilogy.

I went with legend.  To me it implies that the events have occurred.  Legacy feels like it is happening now to be remembered later.

In which case, it goes back to the manuscript again, doesn't it.

However, Horn will be very glad to hear that his title idea of The Legacy of a Rose is beginning to work out quite well.  If you want me to...I could post an excerpt of what I wrote for a scene before Rose's father's funeral...I was surprised at how well it turned out.

While that title would work DSage, I don't think it'd fit well with how the book is written.

Figures.  Only I could fit a story with that type of title...  *sigh*

Well, here's a cookie for acknowledging my reply anyways! :D

Don't forget to include in my signed copy a note thanking me for the title! I want to be able to brag to people and back it up! ;) And I'll even pay for the copy if I must... lol!

Lol, no problem Horn. :)

And thanks for the cookie ;)
