I think our heater broke. It's set at 67, it reads at 65. I can hear the fan kick on every few minutes, but nothing comes out of the vent.

It's going to be 31 degrees tonight.  Am I going to die?

Not that I have a clue what those numbers mean, but...You big wuss, put on some socks, take an extra blanket and be quiet. ;D

Well, I'd agree she's somewhat of a wuss, but 32 degrees is the freezing point, so it definitely is a bit chilly to not have any heat.  Though I don't think the house would get quite that cold in one night.  If it were colder, I'd worry about the water pipes.

Just 0 degrees? Bah, I've slept outdoors, only using a sleepingbag in that temperature.

Of course, that was when I lived up north and was somewhat used to cold. Would not attempt any such thing these days ;D

Why don't you cuddle up to Seggie and you can share your body heat, just like penguins do?

Run to Target or Wallmart and buy a cheap space heater to use just in your bedroom, then deal with the broken heater tomorrow?

I live in ATLANTA, Maj. We barely have any winter clothes here. My survival skills are nill.  Is my skin supposed to be all bumpy right now? Why am I shaking? I...I think I'm dying.

Mother has the goosebumps and shivers.

I recommend a thick blanket and hot drink for now. and do you have any electric heaters you can plug into the wall? Also check out the source of your heating unit, might just be off alittle.

Kat, if you lack warm clothes, go for multiple. Two or three pair of socks, two or three blankies etc. From my experience, focus on your feet, it's the worst bodypart getting cold.

And drink some whisky before going to bed ;)

But to answer your question, yes you are going to die.

Just hopefully not anytime soon....   :)

Kind of like Han Solo with the taun taun in Empire?

Yes, exactly. I think that's how he would have wanted it.

You know, I suspect Jimbo won't smell nicer on the inside either...

*sends Kath a suntan booth*

:D

you should also be careful with your armpits and the top of your head Momsy. thats where most of the heat leak out from, so make sure you have a hat on or somehting.. and reversed shoulderpads *nods*

And whatever strange outfit you decide on.... be sure to take lots of pictures!!
