Some habits were hard to shake off and most of her Trainee habits Sahra still regarded useful. One of them was waking up early and going through her muscle training and do some basic swordplay solo. Sometimes she snagged a partner as the forms needed to be practiced with another. But to engrave the movements to her muscle memory, they had to be repeated thousands of time, and grinded and polished until she could do them perfectly. She and Sana had had their first quarrel as a couple over it actually. She had been determined that he should wake up with her in the mornings and they should train together just like before. The bad thing was that he had had a free day the day before and he had been drinking with mates whereas she had been at duty. It had been a bad timing but Sahra hadn't still entirely given up on the idea, at least not for occasional mornings. Training was just so much more fun when you had a partner and she enjoyed his company both professionally and personally.

She could feel satisfied over finishing her morning curriculum but it hardly meant that training was over for the day. She would just focus on a bit different area that she had neglected a bit over training her body: honing her mind. That was one of the reasons why she had chosen the Path of Knowledge, to complement an area where she didn't feel so strong. Some would say that it was a bad choice, and that she should have focused on her strenghts instead of bettering weaknesses, but she liked challenges. And you didn't have to work alone. She was going to get the support that she needed and the Wheel seemed to weave in her favour today. Her lips curved to a satisfied smile when she spotted the exact man she had been thinking.

"Good day, Nerome. We haven't been officially introduced but I have heard good things about you." Sahra extended her hand, took his and shook it firmly. "I am Sahra Covenry and we both pursue the same Path. It is nice to meet you. I hope that I didn't interrupt anything." She smiled as Nerome shook his head.

"That is good. The Path is what I wanted to speak with you. You have been learning a bit longer than I, so I thought that you could possibly give me some pointers. And if you haven't gotten started on some of the basics yet, maybe we could study together if you were interested." She wished that she wasn't being too demanding and intrusive. They didn't know each others after all.

Sahra Covenry

Tower Guard

The day was unfolding pleasantly. For once, he had risen much later than habit allowed, having been out late the previous night for a dinner in the city with Rossa. It had been his treat and the good spirits he was in today had everything to do with it's success. The chance to be able to surprise her and smile the way she had....it made for very good dreams indeed.  While waiting to become her Warder was something that frustrated him, the aspiration allowed a sort of focus to be created, which was where he put all his effort and thinking. Smiling as he thought about their next meeting, the approach of another Tower Guard almost went unnoticed.

Looking up to find an unfamiliar face scattered his thoughts, so that whimsical thoughts concerning his Aes Sedai were put away and Nerome found himself focusing on the present. And he had to admit, a very pretty present. Sahra Covenry was someone he knew through the vaguest connection, that being Sana, who Nerome barely knew as well. In fact, the most interaction they'd had was when Nerome had only just entered Tar Valon and decided that Sana looked like ideal candidate the First, for some good old "I snatch, you weep."

Still, he had heard that she had been Raised recently and if she wished to approach him, he would listen to what she had to say. Besides, it meant a new acquaintance. Light knew, he had to few of them within the Yard themselves, and Saline, no matter how much time she spent training, was no Tower Guard. Which, considering the fact that she used to play messenger some years ago, was a good thing.

Nodding as she finished, Nerome smiled warmly, which he imagined, clearly showed his thoughts on her offer. Path training was something he had often felt he wasn't taking up seriously enough and Sahra's offer made the perfect remedy.

"Well, since you already know my name, I can only say that it's nice to meet you too." Grinning at her widely, he continued. "Your idea sounds perfect! To tell the truth, I don't think I've been working very hard. While I may have been learning a bit longer,  I'm pretty sure you'll catch up easily. You see, I've heard good things about you as well," he finished, with a smile.

Nerome seemed very welcoming to the idea from his smile and Sahra responded in a kind. He appered to be genuinely pleased to meet her, but what made her even happier was that he accepted her suggestion of studying together. The praise didn't fluster her like it would have most people and she beamed at Nerome. "Awesome! You and I will make a good team. Some day you will have to tell me who said and what. I heard of you from your mentor Rosheen who is Sana's sister. Sana was my mentor and now is my... hmm, well, we are together." There was a touch of defensiveness in her voice but mostly she was just stating the matter with great fondness.

"Anyway, as for the training. What have you done so far and what would you be interested to do next? And if I may ask, why did you feel that this Path was the most suitable for you? I was thinking that I need to remind myself of some basic strategy first. We all studied it as Trainees but you can get more out of even the basic volumes when you have more experience and knowledge of the matter. Would you like to study it with me? I am open for anything really."
