It seems strange that this is the first time that I have posted here.  I started to read the WOT when the books first came out.  I was in highschool, and I believe the year was either 1990-1, I'm not sure. Originally I picked up the hefty book because I was doing a highschool art project that required to exact images from a novel and do illustrations.  I thought that a book of the size of "The Eye of the World"  Probably would have descriptions somewhere in it.  So I began to read the book.  I don't believe I ever finished the project, I ended up reading the book instead.

After I had finished that book, I had a small local BBS, just me, which paid homage to the name Dragonmount. (do people remember the days of BBS?)

As I got older and read, and re-read the books, I switched my username to perrin26, 26 for my age at the time I decided to do this.  I am now 33, on my way to 34.

When i was younger, I would read many many different authors, I couldn't stop reading.  I am sad that I am no longer able to keep up that pace with work and such, however, anytime a Robert Jordan book would come out, I would drop off the face of the planet for a day or two while I devoured the book.

I was incredibly sad, and stunned when I heard of his passing.  I hadn't heard that he was sick up to that point, and had frequently asked bookstore staff if there was a release date for the newest book.  I would have loved to have read the completion of his mini series, and whatever series that he planned to go on to write after WOT. I am glad to hear that it will be completed however, and I look forward to being able to see it on shelves.
