I started re-reading the series again and noticed something odd in book 7. The map inside the front cover (1st ed - 1st printing hardback) is upside down. Is this in every book or just mine? Found it odd and wanted to ask around.

Well my first edition first printing doesn't have that. So I guess your book is special.  :D
