It's nice to finally get around to joining up after having lurked for a long time (as I see a lot of others have).

Now, as to what Org to join.....hmmm!

 

Hope to see you all around, and hopefully Dragonmount can satiate my hunger for all things WoT until the last book comes out!

As for orgs, well, I'd have to recommend the two I belong to - the Ogier org and the Wolfkin Org.  Stop by and say hello to either one - we love to have visitors.

Hello, hello, hello!!! Allow me to extend a hearty greeting to the Newbie!! From all at the Band of The Red Hand! And in particular the Infantry regiment. Why am I here, I hear you ask?

 

As the New Year approaches I invite you, if you are interested in a challenge, to join The Band of the Red Hand, *CoughInfantrycough*

 

At the Band, there are three regiments, Archers, Cavalry and by far the best in my opinion *Fanfare!!* THE INFANTRY!! I am in no way biased in my opinion though! Honest! There is a great deal to keep you entertained over at the Bands private boards once signed up. From an abundance of games at the Range (Archers) Jousting at the Stables (Err... Cavalry, surprise surprise!) And plenty Bars and Taverns to drink, relax, be merry and have a Brawl in the Barracks... And lots lots more. We have the Org game, which is a turn-based fighting game where you can build up your stats to the level where you can annihilate an opponent with a single blow... well sort of 

 

If you have ever aspired to be called a Blademaster, you can achieve this only at the Infantry. The training is a long and arduous one, but one which is ultimately very rewarding, giving a true sense of achievement and worth.

 

So, as you may have guessed, I am an Infantry member meaning I am not overly qualified to inform you of the other regiments. But rest assured there will be others along at some time to fill you in on the details

As you can see, there are many many interesting things to do here.  If you are interested in the Aes Sedai and Warder path, the the White Tower (Org) is the place for you.  Although we don't do RP at the Org, we have a lot of fun, or discuss serious matters, or debate things logically, or talk about books, or all of the above plus much more  :D

A very interesting name you have there, I would love to know where you got that one from :D

 

Anywhere I would like to recommend the Wolfkin. We are the lovers of Nature and the natural world...in fact anything Au natural ;) We are also the home of TQ and Chilli and are sure to give a very special wolfkin welcome.

 

OH and the Band are great too...and if you do pop by the Tower, then make sure you say hello to the reds, as you can see we are an interesting lot...*eyes her Sis still on the floor with DS*...don't worry he will make it, they always do ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I'm leaning towards the Band of the Red Hand and the Wolfkin at the moment but we shall see. I expect I'll pop up on one or two boards sometime soon.

 

I was actually thinking of the Worms in The Eye of The World when the name came to me, Talya. Has a vague LoTR feel to it too though doesn't it? Misspelled, but nevermind!

I hope you enjoy your time on DM and am very much looking forward to meeting you in the Band. Don't let my overly excited Reds scare you from the WT though. Many brave men have come before and they can attest that there's nothing like a Red to make your day ;) After all, what's life without the necessary challenges of strength and character from time to time, aye?

Thanks Mystica. I took a look at the holiday section of the Hornsounder and particularly liked the summaries of what's happening in other Orgs.

I may wander over to the WT a bit later too....
