An American Soldiers Last Blog

Featured Replies

I found this blog on the net from an American soldier who was killed in Iraq recently. It is his last post to be posted in the event of his death.

It really moved me and if you are interested, I think it would move you as well.

War is hell...

His honesty is compelling. I think that quality is worth more than merely being intelligent.

Having never been in a life or death situation I can't really be sure, but I'd like to think that there are causes that I'd die for. I don't really like to think, but I think it may be so, that there could even be causes I'd be willing to kill for. But I cannot imagine a cause so worthy, a need so great or a circumstance so dire that I would be willing to visit war upon anybody.

That doesn't stop me respecting the hell out of the men and women who choose that life. I can't judge them, nor fault their courage.
