NZ had a tsunami warning yesterday....

Featured Replies

at 3:43 in the morning.

Thankfully, I slept right through it.

Also thankfully, it turned out to be nonexistant. :P

The people who rushed out of bed in their nightgowns and started frantically buying petrol, bread and other misc. supplies at the petrol stations are probably a bit grumpy though.

they did, especially as they only had to be 1 km inland and 35 metres above sea level at a minimum :P

If we'd known we'd have probably just taken sleeping bags and gone to watch from the top of a nearby mountain. :D

cool :P

along with various blunt objects

*sigh of relif* a moment there i read that wrong ...demi you where about to have your perfect record view by me destroyed there for a sec till i realised i missread :p

heh :P

We had a tsunami warning in San Diego last year after an 8-pointer off the coast of Northern California. But, we're talking about California here. Most people just ran to the beach to see what the tsunami would look like :P

They were disappointed when nothing happened.

I have never experienced a tsunami warning, a flight attack alarm however :P
