He made a deal with us last time about our tests since everyone had done badly on their last test. He said he would take the higher of the two grades and double it for that test and our next one (that we took last Tuesday). Well, people did even worse on this test! I was perfectly happy with my 85 from last time, but this time I had a 60.

 

turns out he had thought he made a different deal. He thought he had said that if this grade was better he would take it and double it, not use the better of the two. So we argued all class and he realized he had been mistaken finally. So he offered a curve. Someone joked aorund and said for him to have a 25 point curve so she would at least have a 70. He asked what the highest test score was and found out it was a 65.

 

"Then I'll give a curve based off of that grade." He took a few seconds to do some math in his hed to figure a curve. tHen he said, "I'll give everyone a 35-point curve. No joke."

so my 60 went up to a 95 and that's the grade that's gonne be doubled for report cards 8)

    I had a great physics teacher back when i was in school as well. He really loved talking about physics, and we'd often keep him talking about something totally unrelated to our actual homework that the bell at the end of the lesson would ring before he could even give us homework.

     

    He was cool though, let us learn tests or do homework in class too (so we didn't have to do it at home) ^_^

    haha, we do that all the time. we have a girl in our class who is like 4'9" and we make fun of her for being short all the time and make it related to the lesson. I'll always remember the day I got pulled along onthe skateboard when we went over momentum and Newtons ;D

     

    hmm... then I shall take it for later experimentation in my secretlab *nods* to see if I can get it ticking again.
