Waste of Time: A WOT Parody

Featured Replies

Anyone who has read Bored with the Rings by the Harvard Lampoon, published in 1969, should wonder why no one has ever written a parody of the Wheel of Time.  I am quite sure there are some good comedic writers among us who could try.  ::)

;D Struggling with the names of some of the characters in Wot, I began to create my own variations of the characters when discussing the books with friends.  Quite often, Moiraine became Migraine and Rand al'Thor became Rand om'Bore.  I got thinking, what a gold mine a Waste of Time book parody would be if done respectfully.

The characters could be:

Rand....................Rand om'Bore

Mat.....................Mac Coughdrop

Perrin.............Pardon Eyebrowya

Egwene.............Egg-wine al'Vinnie

Nynaeve............Nye-eve val'Halla

Moirane............Migraine Demanding

Lan..................Lame Assdragon

Thom................Tim Married-Man

Ba'lsamon...............Ballzy-man

Paden Fain.............Paddle Gaim

Just some thoughts to have fun with..... ::)-MR

The idea is very nice. No one has written a parody of WoT yet probably cause the series aint finished. We will probably see some sort of parody after the series is done. (I hope they pack it down to a smaller size like Bored of the Rings did...I dont wanna spend half a year reading the parody from WoT ;P)

Bored of the Rings was a fun read.  I think a parody of WOT would go over well.  I would read it.

I like Lame Assdragon, that nigh got me rolling!

I would definitly read that book!!!

Of course I'd have to call Perrin, Paddin' A-bra

A few other names I'd suggest:

Ishameal............Fishysmell

Lanfear.............Lightbeer

Asmodean............Camodeian

Demandred...........Raisenbread

Semiraghe...........Backmassage

Messana.............Bannana

Be'lal..............Be'gone (because he was rather quickly)

Morgase.............Malaise

Logain Ablar........Rogaine Abald

Mazrim Taim ........Madman Tame (Tame is a play of the commen mispronunciation of his name)

Elaida..............Eyelazer

Elayne Trankand.....Easy-lay Backbend

Aran'gar............Aren't Guy

Don't forget the mysterious ALE-fans and the MILF-fans! The first group gives you three mugs of beer and takes away your memories.  The other makes you do chores around the house.
