Humans are of age at 18 so way do Ogier come of age at 100. Any thoughts

Because humans only live (in WoT) to be what? 80 years old?  By comparison Ogier live to be hundreds so it's not that odd that they would come of age later.

I always wanted to learn more about ogrier, but we get to learn little about them; we figure more about the Black Ajah, you know that really secret ajah no one knows about, than a group of mystical humanoids which live for hundreds of years. Main thing on my mine is things having to grow up in a society that people can be 1000 times older than you, how long is time out?How many years do they go to school?... well that answers what ajah I would be (brown xD). Only real thing that disappointed me about the books is this little subject ;_;

    This is not going to be the answer that you're going to want. It is also, kind of flaky in my opinion.

Ogier have been away from Humans other than to make repairs on the cities. I believe, other than tinkers and Jain Fairstrider, ogier would rather not be disturbed by humans.

 

    Maybe, after Loial's book on The Dragon Reborn, he can write a small 1,000,000 page book on the history of Ogier.
