Wanted to post this yesterday, but the forums were down then...

Right. As some of you may know, i work in a convenience store. Every once in a while, we get an intern or two, fresh from school when they're still all cute and gullible.

 

This afternoon, a customer put up an argument when she somehow misheard my "No wonder, it's warm outside" with "Crying babies should stay outside." Which is complete bull, as we primarily sell toys. Woman goes out, shouting that i said crying babies weren't allowed in.

 

Some people shouldn't be allowed to keep polluting the gene pool. Anyway...

 

Later on, i tell the intern about this, conversation went somewhat like this:

 

Me - "So yeah... She's probably telling her friends now trhat i eat babies or something."

 

Intern - "Eat babies?"

 

Me (casually glances, straight face) "Yeah... They're like tender chicken, only with way more fat, and slightly more bland."

 

Intern (shocked) "...You eat babies?"

 

I denied, of course, but later on pressed the subject somewhat with some aimed comments ("Crawling around makes the baby meat more supple", stuff like that), so i'd say there's about a 50/50 chance of having actually convinced him i eat babies. Especially given that a colleague of mine told me half an hour later that the intern was still talking about it :D

 

Looking forward to tomorrow, just to see how much of it he believed XD

Well, according to that colleague again when the two of them walked home (live in the same area) he just wouldn't stop talking about it, and when one of the intern's relatives (sister, methinks?) walked into the store for a visit he told her i ate babies again.

 

So yeah, i think he believes me. I told the boss about the joke i pulled as well, and now he's joking around about it to the poor guy as well ;D

I want in intern to corrupt now! LOL

For any of you chefs out there. Baby is best eaten cold with a orange glaze on top.

lol some people *shakes head* though would think someone who seriously belived that would run to boss or police or something...so wonder whats really going on in the persons head :P

I more or less counted on that, actually. The boss got a good laugh out of it when he brought it up.

 

What can i say, i have a reputation to uphold there XD
