Hi all,

 

I've just set up a FL merchant character that I'm looking to introduce to the magnificent and opulent city of Tar Valon. Of course no self respecting man of worth would try to set himself up inside the Shinning Walls without making the acquaintence of the legendary Aes Sedai.

 

I'm not looking for uber serious RP at the moment. Just a chance for some character development. Pretty much I'm looking for an Aes Sedai that would be willing to be my link with the Tower, so to say. I'm a merchant, don't forget, trying to tap a new market :)

 

So the first stage of this RP would be my meeting said prospective Aes Sedai (it can be just one, or even more depending on how many people are interested) or their Warders, if the masters of the sword want to get involved I'll not say no. From there I'll be the innocent Southern that doesn't believe in Trollocs or Fade and the Dark One is a story told to frighten children.

 

The outcome of the RP is I get to flush out my character; make a name for myself in the Tower; and possibly open up a few more RP opportunities depending on how things go.

 

So, anyone interested? If you want to make suggestions to change things around, or perhaps tie another RP into this one, I'm open to the idea.

Another merchant, lovely :)  Perhaps your merchant and my peddler can get together at some point in the future and talk of old times, old trades. :)

Come to think of it, i still need to intro my pirate. She'll have some decent loot to sell, and Tar Valon is rich enough to mint its own coin so...

Hi all,

 

Sorry it's been so long. I've been clearing up some things with my bio, but now that it's done, we can get down to the meat and bones of it all.

 

I'm willing to meet both characters if you want, perhaps both come to dinner at Ahdam's new home in TV? Discuss trade, the city, getting deals with the Aes Sedai, buisiness up north (this could be a good IC way to fill me in on some of the games more recent history).

 

I'm pretty much looking to set my character up and see what RP opportunities are out there. If either of you want to add something to this, feel free. I'll wait till I get any feedback before I get the thread up and running.

Well, i'll be away for two weeks, but i'd still be able to join (depending on how long you'd be waiting on feedback, of course ;)).

 

Hmm... Mara would probably take you up on that dinner offer, it'd be an excellent opportunity for her to find out the recent happenings on the mainland.

 

Only problem being she's a channeler with a severe block herself, so that might get messy if any Aes Sedai join in ^^;

 

Intruging... any interest in being one a Brown/Black Sister's Eyes and Ears? :D  Perhaps under the guise of trying to offer rare books or something shiny like that; we can figure something out.

Oooo! I want in *nods* I was finally bitten again by the posting bug *eyes Raeyn* I am working on ours as well. Writing Thera not as MoT is hard for me anymore.

 

I have a Yellow/Black Sister. Maybe you could be an unknowing Black Ajah agent? Or knowing if you want.

Wow, this seems pretty good :) Although I'm a bit worried why so many Black Sisters would want to come knocking on my door. Is it the curtains? Do they say 'Darkfriend'? :) I'd gladly take a shot at being the Eyes and Ears of one of the Ajahs, not knowingly the Black though. This meeting could perhaps be a good opportunity for me to get in with the White Tower Eyes and Ears scene, with either of you sisters approaching me. Perhaps both? I'm not too sure if there are any rules on serving two Ajah's or not. If so, give me a yell and I'll pick on :) There'd be some great RP opportunities in all that.

 

Remember I'm setting Ahdam up as something of a trading magnate, so he'll have some reasonably good trading partners in most of the south (Tear, Illian and Far Madding especially, but also some in Andor and Cairhein. He's only just establishing himself up north, hence why he's in TV).

 

I might try setting something different up for you Jehaine. Rather then having a wilder turn up to dinner with two black sisters (fun times) I could set something up with you that takes place after the dinner, maby as a result of it? You hearing about two sisters stopping by my house and comming to discreatly investigate? This should give you and me the chance to RP, but not hold up the other one if you've got to head off for two weeks.

I personally cannot think why someone couldn't be a 'double agent' and be an agent of two Ajahs.. but I probably wouldn't recommend it.  Eqwina, you or Lara-as-Rossa could probably do more with an E&E than me; I could stick to just requesting he collect me some rare tomes :)

Anyway, i wouldn't mind much either way. My character has no idea she can channel, and is a Tairen herself, so if you have good trading partners in the south she might just be talking to the boss to discuss more profits for both by cutting out the middle man.

 

Ironically, she'd be one of the few actually visiting his manor to trade :D
