I haven't checked it out yet. A lot of my stocks are doing really badly, and thus making me very sad.

Unfortunately, I'm not imprerssed so far.  This is the first day I haven't crashed out of the site at all.  It's unweildy and I'm not for certain, but I think our league is Kaput.  I can't find a place where it might be Anywhere.  I think they're trying to make HSX into more of a social and interactive site with other social networks. 

 

I give up for now, but bossman is out of the office off and on for nearly a whole month, so maybe I'll have time next week to really play with it.  Although, like I said, as of now, I'm not impressed.

They must have reverted back to the old because I see no differences. 

 

I just bought a whole bunch of movie stocks.

 

3 Stooges, Bolt (Box Office prediction), National Treasure 3 and Pirates 4 (Bruckenheimer just said he is exploring these sequels)

 

My TV stocks are doing well.

I saw that yesterday.  I haven't had the time to log in, but I did yesterday and was Happily surprised at the old look being back.  I just couldn't bring myself to work with the new format.

I love when I ignore this and have tons of new money...

 

Watchmen is continuing to be a great stock for me.  I bought it when it was at $46 and now it is at $164.  Nice.

 

Land of the Lost is even better... bought at $4 and now at $113.  Get some of that!

 

 

I made some bad gambles the past couple months so I'm sort of floudering waiting for some of my movies to be released.

If it ever loads I'm gonna try to join the site again, I tried my old login that I think I had to no effect, but my stocks are probably so bad on that old one that it just makes sense to start fresh.

Question

What is HSX?

A fake stock exchange for movies and actors.  Basically you sign up and they give you 2 million dollars (fake money though!).  You then buy stock in movies or actors or studios.  I bought stock in Land of the Lost WAY before it was being looked at as a movie at $4 a share.  I bought about 1000 shares.  Somewhere down the road, the movie goes into production, the stock rises.  Will Farrell signs onto the project, the stock goes through the roof.  I basically made about $100K on the stock because it increased 100 dollars a share since I bought it. 

 

 

I am also up to 21 million dollars... but that is over YEARS of trading.

 

 

So I logged on.  Some updates.

 

My tron 2 stock is awesome.  I bought it as soon as I heard they might make a sequel.  I have made about a million in just a few months on it.

It seems like a pretty cool thing, but so did disco at first. :-\

Nah but i had money in Taken, and Green lantern, also I made some when Arrested Development was rumored to have the kid signed.  I picked up on that buzz a few days before it hit HSX.  Superman 2 ate into my profits though, I misjudged some buzzing I heard.

 

One great idea is to look at the movies upcoming for each week and put some money into the movie that looks like the biggest draw, blockbusters excepted, unless they are monsters.  Watchmen would have lost money, but Taken and a couple others have been making it back hand over fist.

There's a Green Lantern movie coming up? Sweet, are they gonna have Hal Jordan in it?

Only thing I know about it is that it has Seth Rogan in it.

 

I keep breaking even. Transformers 3 is rumored to be a go though so keep your eyes out for it.

Who said the Green Hornet wasn't a comedy?  I mean do you honestly imagine Seth Rogan as a super hero? 

Yeah, Superman2 Killed my butt too.  I'm going through the same with Akira and am almost ready to dump it.

Picked up Star Trek 12 stock and have made about 500K in a few days.
