Rasheta was returning to the Green Halls from a weapons class she had been taking, she was covered in dust and her black hair had been braided but whisps of it were now falling in her face. She shoved one such out of her eyes annoyed that she coudln't fix her hair till she got back to her quarters.

 

She got within sight of the Green halls when she saw Jaydena and one of the Novices walking away from them. Jaydena did not look happy and Rasheta nodded to her but moved quickly out of her way. Rasheta had known the Captain General long enough to know that when Jaydena was looking like that it was best to stay out of her way and let her do as she would. She continued toward her rooms and stopped in surprise when she noticed a warder trainee wandering around. She wondered if Jaydena had caught him and the novice in the halls together. That would be enough to make the Captain General angry. She walked up to him and said amused

 

"Are you lost?"

Gaidan was confused and frustrated, he was lost here as he knew he couldn't go back through the Novice and Accepted quarters and he had to report to the Mistress of Trainees on his first day! So he was looking everywhere for a way out when the most beautiful woman he had ever seen walked up and asked if he was lost in that soft and sultry voice.

 

Now Gaidan did not have much experience with women so that divine voice made his heart hammer fast and hard in his chest while his breathing became harsh and shallow. His face felt like it was on fire and his entire body felt flushed. He stood like that a moment before he finally reached for the Void to regain himself.

 

Safely in the Void he carefully sounded each word as he precisely said, " Yes Aes Sedai, I am lost. I cannot go back through the Novice and Accepted quarters and don't know any other way yet. If you could please show me the way, I will bother you Ladies no more." He felt several emotions running through the edges of the Void right then and realized he wanted this woman and he knew nothing about her!

 

Gaidan Hatori, Warder Trainee

Rasheta had to bite her lip to keep from laughing out loud when the young man turned to look at her and seemed a bit shocked. This was the second time in as many days a warder trainee had been surprised by her apperance. She couldn't blame the one in front of her she looked a fright covered in dirt and her hair falling all over her face. She really needed to fix it. She let the young man collect himself and pulled her braid around to the front of her body and quickly unbraided her hair and shook it out. She would just leave it down now since she needed a comb in order to get it all back in a braid anyway. She tossed her head and listened as the young man spoke.

 

"Yes Aes Sedai, I am lost. I cannot go back through the Novice and Accepted quarters and don't know any other way yet. If you could please show me the way, I will bother you Ladies no more."

 

She laughed out loud then and said lightly "So you are the reason Jaydena was looking so cross. I was wondering." She glanced back the way her Captain General had just left and then turned her attention back to the man in front of her. She looked him over slowly from head to foot and her smile widened. She put one hand on her hip and added

 

"You are the second trainee to ask me for help in as many days." She laughed again, wondering what was wrong with her, this was the second time she had enjoyed herself around one of the warder trainees and she had thought after her warder had died she would never even bother with the warder yards again. She pulled herself back to the conversation at hand and said.

 

"I have just now returned from the training yards." She indicated her dirt covered clothes. "I can show you the way back." She turned around and began walking back the way she had come expecting the young man to follow her. "tell me young man what is your name? I can't keep thinking of you as the young trainee."

 

 

Rasheta Ardashir, Green Ajah Aes Sedai

Gaidan was snapped back into focus by the sudden sharp and direct orders from this beautiful Aes Sedai. After she had walked a couple of steps he moved quickly to catch up. Once alongside of her he spoke in a precise and mellow voice, " My name is Gaidan Hatori Aes Sedai. Do Aes Sedai often go to the Yard? Today is my first day so I was curious."

 

He walked along side as she responded thinking of being seen training by Aes Sedai. He would have to do three times as good if he wanted to impress these great Ladies! He felt it would be worth it though as he had his vow to keep, so the question to raise is which Lady. " Excuse me, but I noticed the different colors on all the dresses but the white ones. Could you explain it to me please Aes Sedai?"

" My name is Gaidan Hatori Aes Sedai. Do Aes Sedai often go to the Yard? Today is my first day so I was curious."

 

Rasheta nodded at the name and had to give another smile when she heard it was his first day. The first day at the White Tower for Gaidan and he was already in trouble. She felt a little sorry for him and if she could have she would have gotten him out of trouble with Jaydena, but she wasn't about to cross the head of her ajah and so she just continued walking. She was about to answer the question directed at her when Gaidan spoke again.

 

" Excuse me, but I noticed the different colors on all the dresses but the white ones. Could you explain it to me please Aes Sedai?"

 

Rasheta nodded and glanced sideways at Gaidan and said "To answer your first question not all Aes Sedai go to the training yards." She shrugged and said "The Green Ajah is the battle Ajah so we are there a lot. More so then any of the other Ajahs. The Blues can sometimes be seen there as well and very rearely any of the other Ajahs. Unless," She said smiling "they are there to bond a warder." She shrugged again and added. "Although mostly its the green Ajah who train. Although sometimes we require a warder or two as well." She laughed and continued. "Now to your other question." As they walked she nodded to one of the Accepted.

 

"The bands around the bottom of the dress repersent the seven Ajahs in the tower. That dress means that the person wearing it is Accepted of the White Tower. The Novices wear the white and they are the lowest level in the tower." She added "The shawls are worn by the Aes Sedai and whichever color the shawl tells you which Ajah that person belongs to." She stopped walking for a moment and looked at Gaidan again curiously and then continued walking.

 

"Where do you come from that you don't know much about the White Tower?" She paused again and added "And why did you join the white tower if you don't know to much about it?"

He listened intently to that seductive and sultry voice as he walked. He was grateful to the Void or he would have been drooling on her every word instead of, the less embarassing, puppy-love look in his eyes. He was so enthralled by her that he didn't realize she had asked him a question until the image of home flashed across the Void.

 

Shaking his head briefly, he thought quickly. The Mistress of Trainees didn't seem to care where he had come from but would an Aes Sedai? Amadicia was a sworn enemy of the Tower, but she was so nice and seemed sincere enough. Gently grabbing her arm he pulled her into an alcove.

 

" I will answer any question for you Aes Sedai, but I must know that you won't hold it against me. Also, if I am to tell you about me I think it only fair that I learn about you Aes Sedai. Maybe start by telling me your name my Lady!"

Rasheta was surpirsed when he grabbed her arm and pulled her away to a shadowed alcove. She looked at his hand on her arm for a moment and then glanced up at Gaidan, he let go when she did that and said.

 

" I will answer any question for you Aes Sedai, but I must know that you won't hold it against me. Also, if I am to tell you about me I think it only fair that I learn about you Aes Sedai. Maybe start by telling me your name my Lady!"

 

Rasheta nodded slowly it made sense she should give him some information about herself as well. "My name is Rasheta Ardashir and you have permission simply to call me Rasheta." She held up her hand to stop speech and added "If you must be formal my full name is fine but my name is Rasheta Ardashir and I don't like all this "Sedai" busniess." She shrugged in some cases she wasn't allowed to have the honorific dropped to her name and that annoyed her. Although the Mistress of Novices had told her it was a requirement so the young girls could learn respect and humility. Rasheta still didn't like it much. She decided to give him a brief idea of what she was like as well and added.

 

"Since you asked about me I will tell you a little more. I am a merchants daughter from Arad Doman." She voice turned sad and soft as she added "I have already lost a warder in service to the tower. Pray you never experiance the pain of loosing an Aes Sedai and if you love her the pain is worse." She pushed such thoughts away and tried to smile again and she said.

 

"So you owe me a little about yourself. What could be so bad you had to come into this alcove?" Teasing she touched his arm and shoulder feeling around as though she was checking for wounds and asked with a genuine smile "Your not a Trolloc are you?"

Her name and voice were like music to his ears. When she touched him he practically melted as butterflys flew around his stomach and his breath came in quick short bursts, while the Void shattered. The mention of Trolloc confused him though, he had no idea what a Trolloc was! So he replied a little hesitantly, " A Tro...loc!? I am sorry but I don't know what that is Rasheta."

 

Then he sighed heavily and looked her straight in the eye as he spoke his next words, " I am from Amadicia." It came out a curse and gathering his courage he went on, " I know the White Cloaks are enemies of the White Tower but I am not like them! They abandoned me to die while a lone Aes Sedai saved me from grievious wounds. I swore then to serve her but she demanded I train and swear my loyalty to an Aes Sedai who had need of me when I became a full Tower Guard and Warder. So I am here against all the wishes of my countrymen to keep my vow and protect those who were there for me when my own kingdom was not." He was proud and there was defience in every inch of him as if he dared anyone to question his loyalty to the Tower. Then he saw her, all of her again and he melted once more into a young man who wished to not be rejected.

 

With eyes in that hopeful puppy-love look, he spoke in a whisper to her, " Please!? All I ask is a chance to prove myself so I can protect an Aes Sedai of my own one day! I will train harder and push myself beyond my peers to be the best Warder any Sister could ask for! I swear I will and if you'll have me I'll swear to you here and now!" Then he took her hand and waited as his eyes pleaded with her to understand and accept him.

 

Gaidan Hatori, Warder Trainee.

"A Tro...loc!? I am sorry but I don't know what that is Rasheta."

 

 

Rasheta blinked up at him in surprise. She had never met anyone who didn't know what the trollocs were. Now she was very curious as to where he had come from. The next words from his mouth shocked her.

 

"I am from Amadicia." It came out a curse and gathering his courage he went on, " I know the White Cloaks are enemies of the White Tower but I am not like them! She could almost choak she was so surprised. He was from Amadicia! She looked him over again and noticed that when he spoke of his vow he lost the young man look and had the look of a warrior fullfilling his oath. If he could look and act like that all the time the Aes Sedai would not be able to keep there hands off him. She was going to speak when he spoke again in a worried voice.

 

Please!? All I ask is a chance to prove myself so I can protect an Aes Sedai of my own one day! I will train harder and push myself beyond my peers to be the best Warder any Sister could ask for! I swear I will and if you'll have me I'll swear to you here and now!"

 

Rasheta was moved by the look on his face and when he grabbed her hand she didn't pull away. She watched him for several moments, and when she spoke she did so slowly and in a soft voice.

 

"Gaidan, I do not hold your nation of birth against you. You are clearly not as the others from your nation. You have just met me how can you wish to promise yourself to me already." He looked as though he would speak and she put two fingers over his mouth. "No do not speak just yet I am not done. I do not wish to be the cause of another vow to you and have you find someone more suited to your purpose." She sighed and looked away for a moment and she could feel the tears start to form when she looked back she felt a tear slide down her cheek she ignored it to say.

 

"I have already lost a warder to the blight I couldn't bare to take you as a promised warder and then have you find another. It would kill me." She backed away slowly then saying. "I have to go follow the hall there and it will take you back to the yards." She wrapped her arms around herself as though to shield herself from his gaze and she turned to walk away and stopped before she walked more then a few steps. She turned back around and added "If you find you still want to promise yourself to me in a few months I will take it then." She twisted around and ran back the way she had come.

Gaidan listened to Rasheta with growing concern that she would turn from him. Not because of his birthplace as he had originally thought, now it was because he could tell she was pushing him away!. He tried to speak only to have her gently place her fingers against his lips and a stirring he had never felt before raced through him. It spread like a burning fire from his lips and quickly spread until it settled in his groin.

 

Blushing he allowed her to finish only to feel like a bucket of ice had been thrown over him. When he saw the tear streak down her cheek his heart nearly burst with desire to hold and comfort her. He held still though and allowed her to finish. By the end as she turned to leave he was shocked so bad that he just stood as if rooted to the ground.

 

He stayed like that until she turned and told him to seek her later on if he still felt for her then. Realizing he had a chance he rushed towards her. He wasn't sure what he would do or say, only that he needed to comfort her and hold her until her pain was gone. So he flew down the hall in a swift and fluid motion and took her into his embrace.

 

Holding her tightly to him, he whispered softly into her ear, " I am sorry for your loss Rasheta. I will do as you ask and make no vows or promises except one. I swear to you that I will train to be the swiftest and most deadliest Warder ever to live! I won't die until you say I can, I will suffer any injury and still fight on until you are safe. Then you can heal my wounds so I can fight some more for you! I am yours here and now! Whether you accept me now or when I make Tower Guard doesn't matter, for I speak my vows for you now! Be still and cry no more for soon I will come for you and stay by your side until I die!" Then he held her close until her tears stopped, whether she fought him or not. He held her until she commanded him to let go.

 

Gaidan Hatori, Warder in Training

 

OOC: I still don't know if the Warder DL is going to ok a Bond now so if you want we can wait or play this as a promising to Bond RP! ;) :P

Rasheta was running away from a warder trainee she couldn't believe she was doing something as silly as that. Where was her Green Ajah spirit. She was shocked when someone gripped her arm and pulled her into an embrace. She knew that Gaidan had followed her then not willing to let her go with just a promise to find her later.

 

" I am sorry for your loss Rasheta. I will do as you ask and make no vows or promises except one. I swear to you that I will train to be the swiftest and most deadliest Warder ever to live! I won't die until you say I can, I will suffer any injury and still fight on until you are safe. Then you can heal my wounds so I can fight some more for you! I am yours here and now! Whether you accept me now or when I make Tower Guard doesn't matter, for I speak my vows for you now! Be still and cry no more for soon I will come for you and stay by your side until I die!"

 

Rasheta went totally still in his embrace she didn't know what to say or do. He continued to hold her and she took a deep breath and pushed backwards a little and tilted her head to look up. She spoke slowly and said.

 

"Gaidan I thank you for your promise. I will accept it." She leaned up a little and gave him a light kiss. "Something to remember me by." She said with a smile. She backed up then and pointed back the way they had come. "Now go on to the training yards. You need to go and do whatever Jaydena sent you to do." She smiled and added "But you will see me again." She turned then and walked away hoping this time he would do as she asked.

He was breathless and only became more so when she didn't pull completely away from him. Instead his heart raced as she accepted him and his promise! When she leaned up to him and kissed him, his blood flew through him igniting feelings and sensations he had never before experienced in all his short life. So dazed was he that when she finally pulled completely away from him he just stood there for a moment before her final words sunk in.

 

Turning slowly as he smiled wonderingly at her, he did as she instructed. Walking back through the Tower seemed to take no time at all as he kept going back to that kiss in his mind. He didn't notice if anyone else tried to talk with or stop him and before long found himself before the Mistress of Trainees door.
