Actually 272,000 + the remaining 32% which comes out to 128,000 = 400K words.

 

Of course the finished book will be much closer to 700K, so it'll still be far from finished when that bar gets to 100%.

Well given that it'll be a two-parter. Part 1 will be finished when the bar reaches 100%

Actually part 1 is to be 300K and part 2 400K, but he's going to write the whole thing in one fell sweep anyway. So it's not like they're going to start publishing the first 300K as soon as he's at 75%.
