Turnpike Lane, the area I live in up here in London, is a large Turkish community. And for the last 30 or so minutes, all I've heard is a cacophony of car horns tooting away! You would never know that Turkey had just won their Quarter-Final match in the current UEFA European Football Championships against Croatia...

 

Thankfully it is quietening down, but it will be interesting to see how the Semi-Final goes...

Lol....like I said before.....soccer(futbol) fans are nuts over there.  :P :D ;)

I was in ontario (Brampton) when a soccer team won the finals. I can't remember what team it was...it was a few years ago (2 i think) and it was insane! the traffic was stopped and people where running in the streets! LOL

Funny, the Canadiens usually do that over Hockey...lol.  ::) ;D

I've seen a few cars have small Turkish flags attached to them. The match is tonight (and has already kicked off), so we will see what the atmosphere is like shortly...

Germany won 3-2, just spotted it in the news.

And the absolute silence up here also shows that! lol!

Bet that makes you happy, lol. There is a German bloke in my fiance's office so that's all he'll hear about tomorrow. :D
