I am a long-time, multiple-reader fan of the WoT universe.

 

I joined to post a specific question that I had not found an answer to.

 

I am incapable of deciding who is the greater master of worlds-that-are-not, RJ or JRRT. I find myself torn between the sheer beauty of Tolkien's language and the social depth of Jordan's world. Clearly, the world is better for both.

i loved reading LotR myself, but its been so far a onetime beauty, the lack of social depth i fear would ruin the memory of the story for me if i reread it knowing what would happen next...the dept in WoT makes you conect with the characters and the story in another way *s* I also love the Narnia stories (only read them once, but seen the old series time and again)
