hi,  re-reading some of the books,  did 1, then 2 and skipped to 8.  Just finished chapter 7 where Perrin meets Lini, Maighin and 2 males. Perrin has recognised the 2 males but I can't remember who they are.  Can someone fill me in please.  Have read all the books before but this bit has escaped me.  I know who Lini and Maighin really are too so no need to be afraid of spoilers for me.

That's Basil Gil who owned the Queen's Blessing inn in Caemlyn (sp?) and the tough (his name escapes me Lamgwin maybe) who kept the peace there.  Perrin met them when they were in Camelyn with Moiraine.

I find it amusing that no-one recognises Morgase. I dont think Perrin's seen her before but I refuse to believe even Berelain can't recognise the ex-Queen of one of (possibly even THE) largest countries in Randland.

 

Faile too for that matter. I know they dont have visual mediums as we do, but surely (knowing what she does of the world) she would perhaps have an inkling?

 

Morgase isnt exactly a minor noble that no-one's really ever heard of...

 

Even if Berelain didnt recognise her - Annoura or the other AS would know her face?
