I was thinking of making a character to lead a band of Mercenaries... I know this isn't very specific, but I want to know if this is possible before putting forth an effort.

hmm...Alianna might just join up eventually if you make a mercenary band...she needs a purpose yet...

Jidar might join up after awhile. I am planning on him making a journey to improve his swordsmanship, and a mercenary company seems as good a place as any.

So... um... how exactly do I go about making this character? Any base ideas I should keep in mind while writing it, besides the basics?

Start small and work up. If you try and assume a large structure straight away, it can fold in on itself.

 

You don't need to be determined as a channeler straight away. If you want to discover channeling later, I'll allow it (with negotiation of course). Likewise, you don't necessarily have to be born noble. Performing services for different crowns can result in court titles, which means you aren't tied to land necessarily as well.

 

But yeah, something else I get to write up at some stage (yay gah)

Another male channeler? If you decide to have him be able to learn, we could have Jidar teach you. Or guide you a bit, since Jidar doesn't really know enough to teach things.

If he decides to go that path. More likely, if I decide to work that in. He'll be the type to avoid using the Power. He'd assume he'd go insane.
