I'm not a particularly big fan of the Soul genre, but I just came across a news article which saddened me. Isaac Hayes has died of a stroke. Link

Although what I know about Soul can be written on a postage stamp, with room to spare, I did know that Hayes was a leading Soul musician and it is my opinion that the genre will be lost without him.

I think he touched more than just the musical world. He will always be remembered for his Shaft theme in the 70s, but the younger generation will remember him fondly as Chef in South Park. It's a great loss to both the TV and music world.

Yeah Corki beat me to the point there.....It is unfortunate that as good a singer as he was, he will probably be most remembered as Chef.  :-\
