SAM!!!  *hugs and smoochies and pokes*  Thank you dear!!  They are beautiful..and yes my sister Lor will be VERRRRRy jealous since she loves Ariel!!  LOL  And actually I love the Little Mermaid too!!  LOL  I have a very difficult time choosing a favorite!! 

 

For all of you to know..Sam sent me to hand drawn and colored bookmarks of Ariel from the Little Mermaid!!  They are sooo cool!  I will attempt taking pics of them to post soon!!

I got my package from Twinnie!  <3  It was absolutely wonderful, I need to go take pictures of them.  I got one of the beautiful quilled bookmarks Twinnie was showing off in the Crafters/Illuminators org, and a lovely blue book thong.  There were more goodies in the package too, but I'll post about them in my Moments of Joy when I get pictures taken!

 

Twinnie is so wonderful, she sent a card with the package and this long, lovely letter welcoming me to the Kin and everything was just delightful.

Tomorrow is my kiddo's birthday, so hopefully I will remember to stop by the post office while I'm out doing stuff.  I even had "BUY STAMPS" written on my hand and forgot.  I've been especially blonde.

I got a Quilled bookmark themed after a conversation Twin and I had that I am touched she remembered.  ;D  My book thong has various colored brown stones and the knitting needle charm.  :-*

 

My wife got a pair of Twinnie socks....and she tried to comfiscate the book thong, until she realized it wasn't a bracelet.  :D

 

 

 

 

Also I have decided to extend an invitation.  After doing the drawing for Jade in the craft exchange and Twinnie in the bookmark exchange, I have realized that I have missed drawing all these years.  So, to give me something to draw, I will take requests from members of the Kin for 1 bookmark each.  I will open a thread for the request to be made.  My way of saying thank you for what will be one year of friendship by the end of the month.    8) :-*

Well, I was going to make ya'll book thongs again, but someone stole my idea. I'm trying to be creative, but lacking that, I'll go hit up B&N and find something freakin' awesome, instead. lol Maybe that'll be where I go while Dana's killing spiders in the garage this weekend...

Update: I've been hunting but all the ones I've seen so far are completely 'bleh'. Way too commonplace for the one I'm sending it to. So I'm going to try to make it myself. Bare with me please, I've never ever done this before and I want it to turn out well so they'll not soon forget me.  8) I got a really cool one last year for Tay, but that was in France at a christmas market, so not all that sure that'll happen again this year. And it would be way too late anyway. Still mad at myself for not getting one for me too.  :-\

 

 

 

Question: what is a book thong??? The only thongs I know are usually not found in books....

This is the picture of the one Quis got.  It is a sturdy thread with beads on both ends.  The thread portion stays in the book pages, and the beads hang out the top/bottom of the book.  I got a very similar one with brown tones. 

 

Mystie I am positive that what ever you create will be beautiful and amazing and your bookmark buddy will love it!!
