Can't find any evidence of this question getting asked before.

 

When Elayne is sorting through all the junk in PoD or CoS I think and finding lots of terangreal and other junk she comes across a small stoppered glass vial with a red liquid in it. RJ seemed to make a point of mentioning it and it sounds like a Cour'souvra but who would it belong to?

 

 

The cour'souvra, or mindtraps, are small devices made of crystal and wire. So whatever that small, stoppered vial with red liquid inside it was, it was certainly not a mindtrap.

Why so sure? I can't recall too well, but wasn't the bottle crystal, and wasn't it wrapped in wire?

 

Either way, i doubt it is very significant. If it is a mindtrap, it is only there for dedicated fans to discover on the fifth reread. Whoever's soul it contained (or contains? interseting thought)is long dead.

Roxinos is correct, the cour'souvra is described as looking like a tiny cage of wire and crystal. The word cage is repeated several times, and the colours--the pink of the first setting and the bloodred of the second--show only in the bits of crystal.
