September 11

Featured Replies

After that attack on September 11, 2001, do you remember how you felt? Do you remember how you wanted to hug your wife, husband, children? Did you make a phonecall home jsut to say, “I love you”? Did you feel, perhaps for the first time, that strangers on the street weren’t so strange anymore - we were all “Americans”? Did you donate blood or donate money to charity? Did you feel closer to your neighbors and tried to do something good for someone else? Did you smile and wave to people that you never had before?

What’s changed?

Do you still feel that way?

In honor of those who died on September 11, 2001 and those who fought back against their attackers on Flight 93, do something good today. Call your parents or friends and tell them how you feel. Smile and wave to people you don’t know. And remember, that for at least one day of the year, we are all Americans.
