LOA for the weekend

Featured Replies

So my brother is coming into town and staying with us for the weekend. Not only will we be celebrating his birthday; this means I'll be spending the majority of my time cooking him whatever he wants to eat. (He lives alone so when he is over he takes complete advantage of my skillz).

So I'll be away until Monday. Have no problems until then! ;)

I've been available during the weekends since I came back from Maternity LOA silly.

And what the heck am I doing here?? *poof*

The kitchen.

Where she belongs.

....

I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY. I TAKE IT BACK I TAKE IT BACK I TAKE IT BACK!

But I'm not deleting it.

....

:(

It's alright Twitch, my husband thinks that kind of stuff is funny too.

His favorite quote is: "Damn it woman, go in that kitchen and rattle me some pots and pans!"

Yeah...

So anyway, the weekend went alright. I cooked Barbeque Friday night, and baked a chocolate cake for dessert. Saturday I took him out for Chinese for lunch, and then I made deli sandwiches for a late dinner (everyone was really full from Chinese). On Sunday I made Monkey Bread for breakfast, Soup and Salad for lunch, and Tacos/Burritos for dinner. Sherbet for dessert. And since I'm on a roll, tonight I'm fixing BLT's for dinner, tomorrow I'm making Fried Rice, Wednesday we're having Steaks, Thursday we're eating either Belgian Waffles or Omelets, Friday I'll grill a beef roast...and that's all I have planned out. I know that Saturday we start remodeling the upstairs bathroom so I might let my husband have pizza (I hate pizza and rarely let it enter my house), and then on Sunday we are celebrating Sept. and Oct. birthdays on his side of the family so we'll be going out for dinner somewhere (probably a steakhouse--nobody ever takes my suggestion for FISH once in awhile).

So yeah. Walls of text ftw.

Lol I'm back. I guess I didn't even really take an LOA. I'll have to practice at being gone when I say I will be. :P

You should've made fish. Meat is meat and fish is food. That's what my parents told me. *nods*

In fact... *looks at the kitchen* I'm gonna cook me up some fish right now. I have some nice salmon and trout in the freezer. Oh yes.

Yeah, I've never been a fan. But there are some really common things out there that I dislike to eat and people usually give me a hard time for. I mean don't get me wrong...I've eaten pizza, and I will eat pizza...and sometimes I even enjoy it (rarely)...but if there is any way possible to avoid eating it (including cooking meals every night), I'll do that instead. :)

And yes Hax, I love fish. My husband doesn't, unless it comes breaded and has the word 'stick' connected to it. So cook some salmon and think of me. :D

Ugh, breaded. Talk about ruining delicious food. Does he also like Jimmy Dean chocolate chip pancakes and sausage on a stick? :P

You should just make some fish though. You're the one making the food, so they better eat it right?

*convulses on the ground chaotically*

It is NOT possible to dislike pizza, this is the fundamental principle that the universe is based on!

Solution, go to a Portuguese restaurant.  They do steak and seafood and they do them both very well...

Erm...I live in Northern Michigan. If it isn't Fast Food, Chinese, Mexican, or Italian....we don't have it. To just give you an idea of what I'm talking about....we got excited because they are putting in an Olive Garden. The next best thing to that is probably Applebee's or an Outback Steakhouse.

Yes, my area is rather culturally mundane as far as food goes I guess. But the stuff we have here isn't bad, so I won't complain too loudly. ;)
