(OOC: I'm terrible with titles, so I decided to butcher a few languages just to make it interesting. LOL Forgive me?)

Loraine took a deep breath and moved through the door, leaving Kabria to exit Jade's office behind her or be left behind. Kabria knew she was a Sitter, now. There would be time to get back to being her friend, for now she needed the formality to keep from making a scene in the hallway. Loraine knew it, she remembered it as if it were yesterday. And Light, it had been much longer ago than yesterday!

She lead the way down the hall to the room that had been set aside for Kabria while she completed her training. She pushed open the door and stood to the side, waiting for Kabria to follow. She knew there would be questions. She prayed they wouldn't be loud ones.

"This will be your room until you've completed your training and have been accepted by our Ajah. If you're accepted, you'll move into your own room, which will be yours as long as you are..." Lor stopped and twitched her lips. "Well, as long as you're alive and need it. Your training will begin at first light in the morning, but I shall give you a tour of the Quarters so you'll know your way around. You'll also be meeting other Greens who are here in the Tower."

Loraine took a deep breath and met Kabria's eyes. "I know you have questions..."

Kabria fought within herself, one half wanting to deck Loraine and run and other holding fast and hard to her duty. It was enough to make her sick to her stomach and put a sour twist to her mouth. Never before had anything gotten in her way when she put her mind to a task and applied herself but now…now her heart had gotten in the way. She wanted desperately to bond Perivar and had thought that being an Aes Sedai would grant her that privilege and now she’d been told she had to wait! And for what?!! To learn more weaves and “how to be a Green”.

Grudging she admitted to the voice in her head that it made sense, that she had to know more of how to battle to be a part of the Battle Ajah, but she was heartbroken and still in pain. Frustrated that she couldn’t even be completely angry even within her own head she didn’t say a word to Sitter Loraine as she walked her to her rooms.

This was unfair and completely insane, but she didn’t want to appear pouty or sulky in front of a sister. Who knows..that alone might ad another year to her sentence. The room was…it wasn’t much better than her Accepted rooms!! Sighing she looked around and stood with her hands folded at her sides. "Well, as long as you're alive and need it. Your training will begin at first light in the morning, but I shall give you a tour of the Quarters so you'll know your way around. You'll also be meeting other Greens who are here in the Tower."

“Alive and needing it” Kabria muttered under her breath. If her arches and the testing had not killed her, nor her new knife she couldn’t believe that Green Ajah training would. When Loraine prompted her for questions again she only stared at her with a flat look in her eyes. There was really nothing to be said..she had no choice.

“I could ask you why you couldn’t tell me of this…you knew I would choose the Green, or why this is a necessary tradition, but I can answer that question myself. I could ask you again why I am not allowed to bond, but Jaydena made that perfectly clear or I could ask you to go easy on me but I have too much honor for that.. I suppose I could ask you mundain questions about how many sisters are in residence or how long it will take to make me worthy of the green’s but all of that seems to pointless..so..I hear and obey Aes Sedai.” Kabria pressed her fingers to her lips and then to her heart and bowed slightly, bending at her waist.

Try as she would Kabria knew she had come off as more sulky than angry, but at this moment she was doing her best not to scream…or run away in tears.

Loraine expected the response and stiffened. It was her job to stiffen. One of the blessings of being a full-ranking sister in this Ajah. "If ever you questioned why these things are needful, I'm afraid you just answered them." She sighed and sank into a chair. "Kabria, we are an Ajah full of women who's sole job is to sacrifice everything to protect the people of this world. We raised blades and weaves and throw our warders at the Dark One to stop him from hurting those who cannot protect themselves. Until you've watched someone die at your hands, regardless of which side of the light they walk on, you'll never understand what it means to be Green. The training, the extra duties, the vigilant determination... without them, you're no better than a Blue with her fresh shawl. A Blue has her uses, but none of them would I want standing next to me with a blade in her hand at the Last Battle." Loraine looked up at Kabria slowly. "I want a Green, tried and true, tested and battle worn. And if you're sulking about not being able to gloat about being a full sister within these walls, or bond the warder you've chosen..."

Loraine rose to her feet, her noble bearing stiffening her spine again as she moved towards the door. "... then you're not worthy of him, anyway." She left that hanging as she left the room, leaving the door standing open as she moved down the hall.

Kabria tried to listen to Loraine with as much good grace as she could muster, but she was irritated and hearing the woman repeat back her own thoughts to her was beyond drool. As excited as she had been only a few upon passing her test, was how frustrated she felt now. Never in such a short time had her emotions taken such a swing. A small voice in her head whispered that it was untrue, but she stomped on the voice to shut out its mocking.

"... then you're not worthy of him, anyway."

Her harsh words rung in Kabria’s ears and without thought she embraced Saidar only to find that none of the weaves she so desperately wanted would form. Her mouth was hanging open and she stared at Loraine’s retreating back with death in her eyes. If she couldn’t harm her with the power she always had her fists. She’d taken no oath against that! A string of curses ran through her head as she thought about filleting the woman.

The trollop probably wants him for herself..the witch! Gathering her skirts in her hand Kabria stalked after Loraine not even bothering to hide her contempt.

She would make the woman pay for that comment. Perhaps if she was to still be a child in her Ajah’s eyes she could find a way to pull one last prank. She was whispering slightly under her breath by the time she got up next to her Sister.

Loraine felt the glare between her shoulderblades, saw the flare of saidar over her shoulder and sighed. She wouldn't acknowledge the childish flare of temper. Ignoring it was always better. She sighed as memories of motherhood, especially of when her sons were teenagers sprang to mind. She doubted Kabria would appreciate the connection, though. You'd best appreciate me for this, Perivar, she muttered inwardly. Light help, but the urge to slap Kabria was overwhelming. Halfway down the hallway, her thoughts turned to the mid-summer celebration that the Tower had hosted just after she'd been raised to the shawl. Kynwric had been there, smiling and dancing, happy for her success and flirting as only her wonderful farmboy of a warder could. She'd wanted to tell him everything. Had wanted to vent her frustrations and scream at the unfairness of it all. She'd run away from him that night when the urge to fling herself into his arms and throw the Tower and its damned rules to the Dark One had become too much for her to fight. She closed her eyes, the smell of the fresh cut grass rising out of her memories like a ghost. She'd had no one to talk to, no one to vent with, no one with whom to share the heartbreak and the disgust. She shot a look over her shoulder at Kabria and knew she'd have to wait to fix that with her. She'd understand Ajah secrets when she was shown the weaves that could destroy everything she saw, when the ability to kill another being was placed in her hands. Those classes started tomorrow morning. I just pray I wouldn't have to tie her down with Air to keep her still and quiet.

The mental image brought a twinkle to her eye that she turned towards the door she'd stopped next to to keep Kabria from seeing. Somehow, she doubted the girl would see the humor in the situation. She pushed open the door and lead the newest Sister into the Vault, stopping to breathe a moment as her eyes fell on familiar faces, people she had known and come to love. People whose lives had been cut short for one reason or another. Loraine didn't often feel her age. She was only now becoming old enough for her hair to streak with a bit of white. She was blonde, though, so no one but she and Kynwric could tell. A perk to some, a curse to others. "This is the Green Ajah's Vault, Kabria. This is the place where we remember those who've come before us and fallen. This is where your painting will hang, someday. This is where your Sisters will be remembered, where the last links to your friends will be." She looked back at Kabria, all humor gone from her expression. "Each painting you see is a sister who thwarted the Dark One and paid the greatest price for their efforts. That we're standing here, gazing on their visage means we still have a chance to prevail where they failed. None of the women or men looking at you now died of old age, Kabria. As I said, we are the Ajah of Sacrifice. Sometimes that means we sacrifice everything we have, everything we are, to thwart the Dark One one last time."

She paused next to Sirayn's painting and sighed. It didn't seem so long ago that she was standing her with her, thinking the same murderous thoughts that Kabria was thinking. "You see this woman? She came to get me when I was 14. She saved me from the life of a Cairhienin noble. She saved me from everything I hated about my world. When I stood where you are today, I hated her for it. My training after I left this room was brutal on my body, but mostly because I took it out on the one person I could take it out on. I hated myself for being so gullible, for thinking this Ajah was where I wanted to be and that its purpose couldn't possibly be the same as mine if it would torture me this way. I hated Sirayn for that, but I was smart enough not to raise a hand or a weave to her. Over the next few years, she and Lanfir trained me to be a true Green. They taught me weaves that no Oath Rod could keep me from using. They showed me how very close to the Shadow being a Green was. I hated them for it." She smiled and sighed, slowly moving away from Sirayn's picture. "Today, no one in this Tower is more sad to see her painting hanging here than I am. I pray you understand that sooner than I did, Kabria. These women made it possible for me to be what I am, for you to be what you are. Better still, for you to be what you will become. You can thwart me all you like. Go ahead and try throwing those blades at me. Try any weave you feel strong enough to try on me. But they are the standard you're living up to. Not me. I can only hope to be half the woman they were." She looked around the room one more time, then back at Kabria. "Next, we will visit the Hall of Swords," she lead Kabria through the Vault and into the Hall of Swords. "Your second petition will take place in here. All Ajah meetings and gatherings will take place within these walls, as well." There wasn't much to see in this room, so she didn't spend much time in it. It had always been like a formal parlor to Lor. It had a great use for parties and visits from friends, but the rest of the time, it was closed up and just... pretty. "Come, let's meet some live Greens. I'm sure you'll appreciate their advice more than you appreciate mine, at the moment."

She held the door open for Kabria and closed it behind them. She made her way to the first room she knew the sister to be inside and knocked. She smiled as the door opened, nodding in greeting to the Sister on the other side of the door. "This is Kabria Delondre, she is not yet Green but she is sealed to us."

Kabria looked around with a sense of distrust, her anger still tightly wound. Loraine had been the first sister to see her as more than a lowly Accepted and to speak to her openly and honestly as a friend. But how honest could she have been to betray her to this? They stopped in front of a door and a strange light shone in Lor’s eyes.

The door swung inward and her breath caught. Even though nothing had been said Kabria could feel the energy, and…presence that the room held. Every set of eyes seemed locked on only her, weighing judging; seeing through to the heart of all her faults. It was here that she could feel and weigh her worth.

As she had done so many times in library’s she lightly traced her fingers along the edges of the paintings, as if trying to absorb the knowledge and strength through her finger tips. Unbeknownst to Kabria that was a trait she’d inherited from her father, that and her quest for the Light.

“Each painting you see is a sister who thwarted the Dark One and paid the greatest price for their efforts.

She’d never thought of being an Aes Sedai as a sacrifice, but as an honor and a privilege. Kabria had never longed for a life of children and a husband, or working a farm or even on the sea. She had always wanted a life of purpose, and to fight the Shadow when she could. Now though…everyday she worried that when she and Perivar bonded she would one day have to send him into battle knowing that he could die. She had always accounted her own life worth as a small thing, when compared to a battle against the Dark One, but could she have so little concern for Perivar’s life as well?

“I hated Sirayn for that, but I was smart enough not to raise a hand or a weave to her.” Kabria’s cheeks flushed remembering her own desire to lash out. It seemed all the more shaming when under her processor’s eyes. Loraine’s own admittance of such feelings was all that kept Kabria from melting into the floor. She still felt that she needed to redress the balance .. perhaps a personal penance. She would have to speak to Loraine when she could be sure that she’d tamped down all her anger. “They showed me how very close to the Shadow being a Green was. I hated them for it." Incredulity was the only thing that could be said of the look in Kabria’s icy blue eyes.

“the Shadow, but we fight the Shadow, we are not them.” Her stomach rolled with the sudden comparison to the Ajah she’d just joined. She saw her life as a dedicated to the Light, now to hear that her path would put her so in touch with the very thing she hated was enough to make her sick.. But then…what was it Shenesta had always said. “To truly know your enemies you must become them.” It was a glazed and peaked Kabria that followed Loraine into the next room. She scarcely heard about the purpose of the Hall or her second petition. All her anger was melted into fear at having to learn to be the one thing she most hated. What would Perivar saw when he learned the death of her new training?

She could do nothing for the lack of color in her face, but Kabria tried to appear calm as they opened a Sister’s door.

[OOC: Sorry Lor. Took me longer to get to this then I thought. I hope this is okay. I squeezed it in between writting essays. *wince*]

Rasheta was staring at the mirror in her room; she had been surprised that she had the ageless look at first now she was just staring at herself. She remembered that she hadn't looked this hard before. Her eyes looked more determined and the hint of steel in them hadn’t been there before her warder had died and she had been through her Accepted Arches. Her hair which she used to wear down because her warder liked it was now always braided down her back to keep it out of her way, she had thought about cutting it but couldn't bring herself to just yet.

She stood then and was walking toward her outer rooms when she heard a knock on her door. She paused in surprise and wondered who was coming to see her. Most of the Greens treated her well but didn't intrude much on her privacy. She went to the door curious and opened it to see Loraine with the young girl that had been raised earlier. Rasheta blinked in surprise for a moment before composing herself and nodding to Loraine who said.

"This is Kabria Delondre, she is not yet Green but she is sealed to us."

Rasheta turned her full attention to the woman before her. Kabria's face was devoid of color but she appeared to be trying to show no other signs of fear. Rasheta did wonder what could possibly cause the girl to fear, the initiation was hard but all the sisters tried to help the girls through it. The Greens wanted the girls to become Green Aes Sedai. They made it hard but that was to see what strength they could pull from the girls. Rasheta realized after a moment she could possibly be making the girl feel uncomfortable. Some had trouble meeting Rasheta's green eyes for long.

Rasheta put a smile on her face and said. "Be welcome to the Green halls Kabria. You should not worry meeting the sisters is painless, it is a little intimidating but painless.” She realized she had not told Kabria her name so she continued.

“My name is Rasheta Ardashir, since you are no longer a Novice or Accepted in the eyes of the tower you are free to use my full name.” She waved her hand adding annoyed “None of this “Sedai” rubbish with me at least.” She had never liked the honorific applied to the end of her name she wasn’t sure why. Maybe because she liked to have any connection to her home or maybe she was just being stubborn either way she hated it.

“Do you have any questions?” She added after she realized just sending Kabria on would be a little rude without having at least some conversation with her.

The room behind the woman looked much like any other you would see, but she found herself slightly awe struck that it was the room of a full sister. Nothing at all like where she would be “kept” until she was allowed out alone.

Looking up into the new woman’s eyes Kabria tried not to glare, but it was so hard. She knew now that every Green went through what she did, but that did not make the fact any easier. She still felt hurt and betrayed and harbored the desire to lash out.

“My name is Rasheta Ardashir, since you are no longer a Novice or Accepted in the eyes of the tower you are free to use my full name.” She waved her hand adding annoyed “None of this “Sedai” rubbish with me at least.”

Kabria’s hands were still clenched at fists by her side, but she nodded her head to the new Sister and managed something close to a hello. “Thank you Aes Sedai, I cannot think of any questions right now, but it has been a long night and will be a longer day I am sure.” Her voice held some of the bitterness she felt, but was still perfectly respectful from a lesser to her superiors. Just then Kabria’s face flushed as she realized what she had done.

She no longer had to call them Aes Sedai, she was Aes Sedai now, no matter what the Green Ajah said. “Rasheta, I am sorry. I can only claim the long night for my error.”

If her emotions kept bouncing around they way had had been she was going to end up in a puddle on the floor.

Loraine smiled, though she knew Kabria's attentions were focused elsewhere. She'd long since stopped fighting the curtsey dipping and 'Sedai'-ing she heard so often these days. Rasheta was still young enough to be annoyed by it, though. Her gaze flicked between Kabria and Rasheta a moment. She wasn't young enough to handle that tone, though. "It is a well-trained habit, Kabria. Fear not, it will diminish soon enough." Somewhere around being taught weaves that would kill your opponent, not a day later, she thought.

ooc- Not sure who's turn it is but I will be posting next. *G* Wanted to let you all know the writing in this is amazing. *hugs*

Jaydena walked into her quarters and sighed, she had best get it picked up a bit before Kabria got here. Her rooms was one of the first in the quarters and she would be here before much longer. She didn't look forward to seeing the reaction to the woman seeing her again. It hadn't been as bad as some but not as easy as others. Glancing around she used a weave and gathered all the dust off of her swords and daggers, opening the window with another weave and swept it outside with another. She shone the swords with another weave and straightened her books with yet another. Closing each weave as she finished the job. When she was finished she went over to her desk and began to work on reports for the report. She used a weave to make sure the coach was clean and then plumped the pillows of Green satin with a weave. Jade wasn't super strong in the power but she could do simple weaves several at time without causing to much trouble. Her emerald eyes flicked around and noticed the fire needed to be lite. She didn't seem to notice the cold as much anymore but it wouldn't do to have it cold in here. The fireplace was carved and made of thick stones that she had used her talent in delving to find and had had carved herself, it had been her largest edition to this room since she had become ajah head. The roses around the mantle glinted green in the light. Light blossomed in her heart as she embraced the source again and moved the wood into the fireplace with her hands. She set the wood up for a fire and splashed some lavender scent on it before she wove a fire weave to make the fire burn.

Her hands lingered over the fire, although she wasn't cold as an Aes Sedai who had long ago learned the art of ignoring heat and cold, it still felt good. Fire was something that had always fascinated and lured her. She wasn't very strong in the element but she could do some weaves with it. Earth was her passion and something she had always been excellent as long as she could remember, which wasn't something that most women could do. She turned away from the fire and walked around lighting different scented candles with a movement of her hands. The floors of her room were a deep green stone that she had delved for and had put into her room by talented masons. Across them were the rugs she had collected around the world over the years. They were thick and soft and still retained their color. Not long ago she realized she could put a keeping on rugs and they would be protected and still able to be walked on. At that thought she glanced over at the rose held in a keeping. Her warder had given it to her and his Sister, and Accepted at the time had put it in the keeping. They were both long gone from this life and she should have gotten rid of it, but it reminded her of the innocence she had felt before so much had gone wrong in her life. She shook her head at the thoughts and turned as someone knocked on her door. With a deep breath she walked to her door and opened it with a small smile. Loraine stood in the doorway with Kabria and she waited for the other Aes Sedai to speak...

Loraine took a deep breath before knocking on Jade's door. She sent a sideways look over her shoulder at Kabria to gauge her mood, then turned as the door opened. It was too late for backing away now! "Hello, Jaydena. As you know, this is Kabria Delondre, she is not yet Green but she is sealed to us." She backed away a step, though not completely out of the way. Kabria was still tense and the last thing they needed was a demonstration of why Jade was the Head of this Ajah. It was humorous for a moment to contemplate, however, and she had to fight the urge to smile. After what they'd been through this morning, she doubted either of these ladies would appreciate the sentiment, though.

  • 2 months later...

Jade let her eyes rake over the new recruit as she waited for Loraine to say the words of passage that she herself had said so many times before. This girl looked strong and fit, and was strong in the power. Exactly the kind of woman they needed in their Ajah. From what she had heard, Kabria was also a fast learner and dedicated to the cause of the White Tower and hopefully would feel the same about the Greens. "Hello, Jaydena. As you know, this is Kabria Delondre, she is not yet Green but she is sealed to us." She nodded once and then spoke, "Welcome to the Greens Kabria, I look forward to getting to know you, not just as your Ajah Head but as a fellow Sister in this Tower that we have both given our lives too. I fear that right now you see me as the hard task master who has ruined your life, but one day you will hopefully realize that it's part of my position and that long ago I had it done to me. I know that I disliked the woman who did it to me for some time after that, and so I know that's the natural order of things. I will be keeping an eye on you and if ever you need anything from me, night or day, please know that I am here for you, just as I am for all of my women. I look forward to seeing what you do with not only this time but also with you life. You have a strong spirit and will fit in well with this Ajah full of women much like yourself. Do you have any questions or anything you need help with, any advice I can offer you?"

She waited and thought about how she had felt in this same position, she had been angry and resentful, after all she had spent years scrubbing pots, taking classes, and so much more. Her friends had been turned out of the Tower, yet more had been lost within the arches, and she had never recovered from the horrible things she had seen in those arches. The test to become Aes Sedai had been a true test of endurance and then she had received a blow to her face and to her pride when she had been denied access to her Ajah. Oh yes she was considered a member but not one in good standing. She had been make to scrap and bow and suffer until she had earned the right to become a full fledged Sister, and she had hated every single moment of that time. Yet now she knew why they had done it, time had given her that insight and she could only hope this woman, this Kabria would gain that wisdom long before she had. "Hello Kabria, welcome to my quarters. Please know that these doors are always open for you, day or night, as they were for me when I stood in your place. I know right now what has happened seems harsh but please know, there is no going back from this. You will become a Green or you will die trying to become one. I can only hope that you will channel any anger you harbor into being the best you can be. Do you have any questions?"

Ajah Head and Sitter

Kabria’s hands were tight fists at her sides and her back was rigid as she faced the woman she loathed. A rational part of her mind screamed that this same ‘test’ if something so cruel could be called that,  had happened to all the Green’s that walked these halls and that it wasn’t Jaydena’s fault. But the emotional, angry part of her mind, that was the essence of Kabria wouldn’t allow those thoughts to dominate. So she faced her Ajah Head with her face blank and her eyes flashing.

Did she have questions? A thousands things raced through her mind, but she held her peace and shook her head slowly. “No Aes Sedai, no question comes to mind.”

Jaydena stared at her silently, and Kabria did finally speak again. “How long will it take for my journey to the shawl? Months? Years?” She worried that she had another 9 years to face as something less. Strong willed as she was she didn’t know if she could bear that.

Loraine listened to Kabria's petulant response with an inward sigh. She was remaining polite, at least. When Jade didn't let up, Lor nearly broke a smile again. It was hard to resist. “How long will it take for my journey to the shawl? Months? Years?”

Loraine decided to intercede to answer that question for her. "It depends on your determination and your ability to set this aside and learn what you need to learn. I've heard the further training has taken as little as three months and as long as three years. That will depend more on you than on us, I'm afraid." She shrugged slowly. "I could be a little more fuzzy with the details, but I think you deserve answers instead of more questions."

~Lor

“No Aes Sedai, no question comes to mind.” Jaydena stared at the woman and waited, this one was far to opininated and angry to not say anything. Despite all Kabria's training to control her emotions, Jade was well trained to the Game of Houses and she knew exactly how angry she was. Her hands were clenched into fists at her sides, all that took was a quick glance to see that. The anger fairly rolled off the young woman in front of her, and it didn't take much to see the tightening of Kabria's mouth as another sigh of anger. “How long will it take for my journey to the shawl? Months? Years?” She arched an eyebrow at the woman and silently forumlated her answer in her head as she continued to gaze at the girl. She had broken stronger women than this one and she looked forward to the challenge with her. Time passed and finally she glanced over as her friend smiled and began to speak, "It depends on your determination and your ability to set this aside and learn what you need to learn. I've heard the further training has taken as little as three months and as long as three years. That will depend more on you than on us, I'm afraid. I could be a little more fuzzy with the details, but I think you deserve answers instead of more questions."

She nodded and gave a small smile to Loraine before she turned back to Kabria and spoke,"Loraine Sedai is right Kabria. I could look at you and feed you lines about the time and dedication it will take and it would be true but I don't think that's what you are looking for. In terms of numbers, I have seen it done in a month, I have seen it take six months. In one case, yes it did take three years. What you need to do is to put the anger and attitude you have with me right now into your training. If you can be that mad at the shadow than we will be in good shape. The fact is Kabria," she paused and arched an eyebrow at the woman as she continued, "I am not the enemy, the traditions of this ajah are not your enemies, and your Sisters in your future Ajah are not you enemies. You enemies are the Trollocs, and Fades, and Light knows what else out there that you are working to take down. The faster you get over your attitude and begin to work, the faster you will be raised, and the faster you will get out there and kick some Trolloc rear." She leaned back and raised both eyebrows, "Any...other questions?"

Kabria’s mouth worked and her mind raced trying to think of anything she could say that would not make her sound insolent. Following Jaydena’s words of wisdom, it would seem foolish so Kabria only shook her head. With a great effort she unclenched her fists. “I will listen to your advice Ajah Head, for I could never apply the same hate to you, or my Sisters, that I feel for the Shadow.”

It was the simple truth, she carried a hatred deep within her for all things touched by the Shadow. All of those she would fight with her last breath…..her Ajah Head….she would learn to abide.

Kabria opened and closed her mouth like a fish out of water and then slowly unclenched her hands as she spoke, Kabria’s mouth worked and her mind raced trying to think of anything she could say that would not make her sound insolent. Following Jaydena’s words of wisdom, it would seem foolish so Kabria only shook her head. With a great effort she unclenched her fists. “I will listen to your advice Ajah Head, for I could never apply the same hate to you, or my Sisters, that I feel for the Shadow.” She nodded and reached out to gently touch Kabria's hand. "That's wise of you Kabria, I look forward to learning more about you and to having you be a full sister of my ajah. If you are interested I will be having dinner in the Green Ajah Tea Room, there's a seat at my table for you. I wish you good luck my dear, I will be keeping an eye on you and I expect great things from you, otherwise you wouldn't be standing her. Good day to you." She lowered her head in a sign of respect and winked at Loraine as she stepped back and gently closed her door. Life wasn't fair in many ways but if it was, this woman would live a long life and take out many a shadowspawn in the process. Turning from the door she walked into the other room and put on some water for tea, a nice soothing cup  of tea sounded good about now...

Loraine winked back at Jade as the door closed, but turned a serious expression to Kabria. "Would you like a break before we knock on the next door?" She normally didn't offer the option, but if Kabria was going to approach everyone in this corridor that way, she had her own fears about the woman ever making it to her first day of Battle Weaves! She waited on Kabria's response, though she didn't do it standing in one place. She moved a little ways down the hall, waving towards the door.

Kabria squared her shoulder and shook her head stiffly. Light! If they were all as bad as the last she didn’t think she would survive her first day as a “green” Tossing her red tipped waves she attempted and failed at a smile, but walked on to the next door anyway.

It was standing at that door that a thought occurred to her. At times Aes Sedai would set themselves penance to redress an imbalance in their lives, in her mind this could be her penance. She’d spent far too many months with her mind wrapped solely around Perivar, hardly proper action for one wanting to be Aes Sedai. Yes, this was a way to alleviate the guilt she’d been feeling. Kabria didn’t think Loraine or Jaydena either one would like the notion, but for now it made the first steps into the next room easier.

Loraine nodded and turned to the next door, glad to see Kabria holding up so well. Her shoulders are square and if her smile doesn't quite seem genuine... who could blame her? It would be, soon enough. It was the only thought that gave Lor any comfort.

She raised her hand and knocked on the next door, her smile firmly in place as it swung open. "Hello, Sister. This is Kabria Delondre, she is not yet Green but she is sealed to us."

Ladria had just put the finishing touches on her rooms and was waiting for Ben to arrive when she heard a knock at her door. She opened the door and looked at the young women before her.

"Hello, Sister. This is Kabria Delondre, she is not yet Green but she is sealed to us."

Ladria smiled warmly,"Hello Kabria, I am Ladria Damin," she told them both, as she didn't recognize the young Green sister either,"How may I help you?"
