Ten years ago today I sat in my college dorm room and searched for information on Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" series, and happened to find a site that was launching called Dragonmount.  That was the day I chose my new name and began my involvement in the fan community.  In an odd twist of fate, and unknown to me at the time, that day was also Jim Rigney's 50th birthday.

 

Though I'm not very active at DM right now, I wanted to post and let you all know how much I appreciate this community.  It has shaped my life in ways that I could not have imagined at the time, and I'm so grateful I found it.  I hope that each of you that are enjoying similar celebrations as DM reaches its 10 year mark can take a moment to reflect on the true joy this group brings to so many.
