I'm not so sure about the whole SwampThing running mate but I would vote for Conan in a heartbeat.  Dude would kick ass as a president. 

See, I think Swamp Thing would be a good tempering agent against Conan's more.... ardent.....  attitudes towards international policy.

Who needs tempering?  Mess with us we'll destroy your army and take all your concubines! ;D  Besides that, VETO power would consist of taking out an axe and chopping off the heads of congress until they passed the laws he wanted.  I think some good head chopping is just what our government needs.

Conan did become a king.  And he did a very good job of it too.
